THEASEANSECRETARIATINVITESASEANNATIONALSTOAPPLYFORTHEFOLLOWINGVACANCYSENIOROFFICERINTERNALAUDIT(Re‐advertised)Background:TheAssociationofSoutheastAsianNations(ASEAN)SecretariatisthenervecentreofASEAN,aregionalinter‐governmentalorganisationfoundedin1967,topromotepeaceandstability,sustainedeconomicgrowth,sharedprosperityandsocialprogress.ItcomprisesthetencountriesofSoutheastAsia.TheentryintoforceoftheASEANCharteron15December2008hadprovidednewimpetustoASEAN’sintegrationeffortsbyestablishingalegalandinstitutionalframeworkrequiredtoachievetheASEANCommunityby2015.ThisincludesthenewlyapprovedorganisationalstructureoftheASEANSecretariatthatisalignedtotherequirementsoftheCharterandthethreeBlueprintsoftheASEANPolitical‐SecurityCommunity(APSC),theASEANEconomicCommunity(AEC),andtheASEANSocio‐ CulturalCommunity(ASCC).TheASEANSecretariatisthereforewellpositionedtoprovidethenecessaryfunctionsrequiredtoeffectivelysupportthecommunitybuildingprocessundertheCharterandtheBlueprints.CurrentlytheASEANSecretariatislookingforaqualifiedcandidatetofillthepositionofSeniorOfficerInternalAudit,whowillworkundertheInternalAudit&EvaluationDivision,OfficeoftheSecretary‐General.Thisdivisionconductsallactivitiesrelatingtointernalauditing,qualitymanagementsystems,andindependentevaluation.DutiesandResponsibilities:1. Direct,manageandsupervisetheinternalauditingactivitiesintheASEANSecretariat(ASEC).•Prepareandupdateannualworkplansandensurethatitisfullyimplementedontimeandwithinbudget.•Developandcontinuouslyimproveinternalauditmethodologyandtools,includingauditworkprograms,riskassessment,processandcontroldocumentationtechniques,flowcharting,sampling,workpaperdocumentation,andreporttemplates.
