Houston Air Conditioning, Plumbing And Electrical Company Chooses Winner In Charity Facebook Contest Winter means different things for everybody. For some, it means Snow, for others it is curling up with a steaming cup of Hot Chocolate. But one universal meaning of Winter, is sharing. The very festival of Christmas is built upon the concept of giving, this Winter, we too aimed to share something with the Community. But what can a company do to share joy with others? Abacus Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical hosted a Contest for Charities in the Houston Area, where the winning Charity will get a sum of $1000 from Abacus. It is up to the charity how it will use those $1000, whether used for managing operations or something else, that the winning Charity will use this Money strategically. The Winner was the 100 Club, and in addition Abacus decided to put in a Runnerup, named Be an Angel in Houston. The 100 Club got 87 Votes, while Be an Angel in Houston was not far behind, with 59 Votes. But who voted for these Charities? Of course, the Abacus Facebook Fans were asked which Charity was liked best, what the charity did and how it affected those around them. Then our staff looked at how many 'Likes' these Charities got on Facebook, and the ones which got the most 'Likes' won the contest. The 100 Club financially supports the people who were dependent on their relatives who have lost their lives in the line of duty as they tried to put out fires. Using its funds, 100 Club seeks to support the Children's Education and also keep the dependents sustained. Meanwhile, Be an Angel in Houston supports the Children with disabilities, and looks for ways to improve their lives. Abacus Air Conditioning, Plumbing And Electrical staff has been touched at the humble intentions of both these Charities and salute them for their selfless nature, their care for others and their willingness to help those around them. These qualities are truly precious, but these qualities are hard to find nowadays. This new year, the Houston Air Conditiong, Plumbing, And Electrical Company hopes others too will strive in making resolutions to help those around them, and spread joy to make the lives of everyone easier.
