What does this passage show about the power of photography? (two elements) This passage gives the photographer a certain form of power: to make a meaningful moment last forever, and to make sure that it will be remembered exactly as it was. M. “What drew me down there, I wonder, to the edge of the garden?” (l. 1) The narrator’s state of mind is melancholy, reflective. “Why did I do that? (two elements) This is conveyed by the punctuation, the interrogations. Moreover, the narrator in the present cuts the sentences to add commentaries (“I wonder”, “I think I have an idea”). N. Document C involves two types of photographers: the tourists and Elena Marimon Munoz. 1. Using elements from the picture, give two reasons why the tourists are taking photographs. Tourists want to be able to say that they've seen Stonehenge. Tourists want to take a picture to capture that moment. 2. In what ways do Elena Marimon Munoz’s intentions differ from those of the tourists? (three elements) Tourists want to take that picture so that they can say « I've been there ». The photographer, EMM, wants to show that the tourists can't even see Stonehenge because it's so busy. She might also want to point out the distortion of reality: tourists' photos look as if the tourist was alone, peaceful. In fact, it's crowded. The photograph is critic towards the tourists. O. How is Elena Marimon Munoz’s message conveyed visually?
