Pick out five examples mentioned in document 1 and document 2. People commemorate the war and honour its victims by: – writing poems; – producing poppy to raise money for war orphans; – advertising poppy as a symbol of remembrance; – wearing poppy for different categories of victims; – going through a memorial ride and visiting towns of the First World War. II. EXPRESSION ÉCRITE Vous deviez choisir seulement l’un des deux sujets et faire au minimum 150 mots. Dans le cas du sujet A, on vous demandait de rédiger un discours commémoratif. Il fallait donc, en plus de la grammaire, bien faire attention à choisir un vocabulaire adapté au domaine militaire. Par ailleurs, il importait de bien garder en tête l’aspect officiel de cette cérémonie,

ainsi que le fait que votre discours allait être le discours d’ouverture de la cérémonie (on pouvait donc commencer par des généralités sur la guerre et sur l’importance des femmes dans la guerre). Il fallait choisir UNE femme et ne surtout pas présenter les trois. Le ton du discours était important, donc il fallait penser à des termes mélioratifs. Le temps attendu était bien évidemment le passé, mais on pouvait aussi s’attendre à avoir quelques comparaisons avec le présent et, vers la fin de votre discours, des attentes pour le futur. Dans le cas du sujet B, on vous demandait de rédiger un essaysur un symbole des portant années 2010. Il fallait choisir UN élément. Il fallait ici penser à argumenter. On ne vous demandait pas de faire l’éloge de l’élément choisi mais bien d’expliquer en quoi il pouvait représenter les années 2010. On pouvait donc s’attendre à voir les points positifs et negatives de ce symbole, les freins, les consequences, etc. Il s’agissait ici d’unessay, l’examinateur pouvait donc s’attendre à avoir une introduction, un développement ainsi qu’une conclusion.
