G. Student Learning Outcomes – Alan Keys. M/S/P.

Course/Program SLO Recommendations
No recommendations on SLO 1-3. SL0 #4 is unclear. What should the student
apply recent discoveries about the Solar System to??? No recommendations
ASTR 310 for SLO 5.
SLO #4 Using the word "Discover" is not clear or measurable. Change to
ASTR 320 "Describe" the origins of the Universe...
SLO #5 Revise to read: "Develop a project brief that outlines the scope, goals,
pricing, and methods to complete the project." No recommendations for the
GCOM 490 other SLOs.
MATH 28 Seems like SLOs 3 and 8 are similar enough to be combined.
SLO # 3 on "counting techniques" seems to only be reflected in 1 hour of the
course topics. An additional SLO related: to the "analytical geometry"
MATH 352 component may be appropriate.
Reword last SLO: "demonstrate skills in the proper operation of analog and
digital recording equipment commensurate with entry level positions as sound
MUSM 359 engineers in recording studios and corporate audio departments
No recommendations - SLOs reflect course description, are potentially
MUSM 498 measureable and are statements that students should be able to do.
No recommendations - SLOs reflect course description, are potentially
PSYC 335 measureable and are statements that students should be able to do.
7SCC Curriculum Committee, 2011-12
Minutes, October 28, 2011; Page 5 of 7

SLOs reflect course description, are potentially measureable and are
statements that students should be able to do. Consider adding a descriptive
word or phrase to SLOs 1 and 3, such as perform "clinical duties" in a safe
PTA 142 manner that minimizes risks to patients, self, and others.
SLOs reflect course description, are potentially measureable and are
statements that students should be able to do. Consider adding a descriptive
word or phrase to SLOs 1 and 3, such as perform "clinical duties" in a safe
PTA 152 manner that minimizes risks to patients, self, and others.
General: Are there more specific skills or abilities that can be specified in the
SLOs in order to identify the level of knowledge or analytical thinking that is
expected? RE 360
No recommendations - SLOs reflect course description, are potentially
SPORT 311 measureable and are statements that students should be able to do.
No recommendations - SLOs reflect course description, are potentially
SPORT 312 measureable and are statements that students should be able to do.
SPORT 331 SLO 3: Change "develop" to "demonstrate" or "establish"
SPORT SLO 4: Add "demonstrate" to beginning of statement
No recommendations - SLOs reflect course description, are potentially
SPORT 396 measureable and are statements that students should be able to do.
TMACT 302 SLOs are more specific than Course Topics
VN 150 The fourth SLO does not seem to be reflected in the Course Topics
