as to the fact that atherosclerosis isa multi-organic disease;the need fororganization of suchmultidisciplinary symposium including agreatvariety oftopics c o n c e r n i n g the problems ofatherosclerosis in manybranches of medicine isimposed. DOBRODOŠLICA Poštovane kolege, U ime Društva fiziologa Srbije i Sekcije za aterosklerozu, trombozu i vaskularnu biologiju veoma smo srećni što možemo da Vam pružimo zadovoljstvo da učestvujete naSatelitskom simpozijumu XIV Svetskog kongresa o aterosklerozi (Rim, 2006)pod nazivom“OD VASKULARNE BIOLOGIJE DO PREVENCIJE ATEROSKLEROZE: PERSPEKTIVE U ISTOČNOJ EVROPI”,koji se održava na VMA u Beogradu 15-16. juna 2006. godine. Na ovom simpozijumu učestvuju istraživači
iz nacionalnih, evropskih i internacionalnih udruženja za istraživanje ateroskleroze, tromboze i vaskularne biologije. Danas se smatra da je ateroskleroza multi-organska bolest; iz toga proističe i potreba za učćem stručnjaka različitih profila, koji ovoga puta dolaze iz različitih država, a pre svega iz centralne i istočne Evrope gde je ateroskleroza najvažniji uzrok smrtnosti. I dok se u razvijenim zemljama sveta oboljevanje i smrtnost od ateroskleroze i njenih komplikacija smanjuje, sistemskim merama edukacije, na nauci zasnovanoj primarnoj prevenciji i značajnim progresom u terapiji, dotle kod nas taj procenat raste i pored najvećeg ulaganja u oblast kardiovaskularne medicine u poslednjih 20 godina, slično kao i u okolnim zemljama.. Zadovoljstvo nam je što je ovakav pristup naišao na podrškuMeđunarodnog udruženja za aterosklerozu,Unije evropskih medicinskih specijalista(koja je skupu dalačak 12 evropskih poena u kontinuiranoj medicinskoj edukaciji), Međunarodne akademije kardiovaskularnih nauka,Ministarstva zdravlja, Ministarstva za nauku i zaštitu životne sredine Republike Srbije,Medicinskog fakulteta u Beogradu, Vojnomedicinske akademije i Medicinskog fakulteta u Kragujevcu.Odabrana predavanja sa ovog skupa su štampana u posebnom broju internacionalnogčasopisaExperimental and Clinical Cardiology. U okviru međunarodnog skupa kojiće se održati na engleskom jeziku (kao deo svetskog kongresa u Rimu) pripremili smo i program kontinuirane medicinske edukacije na srpskom jeziku. U finalni program su uključena i predavanja o najnovijim terapijskim dostignućima farmaceutskih industrija, kao i predavanja naših vodećih istraživača iz dijaspore. On Friday (16.06.2006.) bus will start at 7:10 AM in the front of Hotel Park and at 7:20 AM in the front of Hotel Slavija Lux. On Thursday (15.06.2006.) and Friday (16.06.2006.) lunch will be provided for guests from abroad in a typical national restaurant - bus will start both days at 1:45 PM in the front of Military Medical Academy. Welcome reception and chairman dinner will be organized in “bohemian quarter” on Thursday evening (15.06.2006.) (bus will start at 8:30 PM in the front of Hotel Park and at 8:40 PM in the front of Hotel Slavija Lux). Bus return will be provided after sessions.
