Description

107 Demetrios, Bishop of Mokissos INTRODUCTION Being asked to describe the Church's ministry in the so- called “diaspora” is a daunting task. In this largest of cat- egories, a great amount of literature has appeared from nu- merous perspectives: statistical, theological, pastoral and canonical. Even a survey of such literature would be a chal- lenge. Instead, I would o er rather a re ection on the spe- ci c challenge that the Church has in ministry within my own context in the United States.
  • need for a normalization of the canonical situation
  • great waves of immigration
  • greater inclusion
  • cultural center as spiritual center
  • diaspora
  • orthodox
  • christians
  • ethnic groups
