Elerick attempts to interpret what it means to be a Christian in light of Lacan’s famous, but asinine, proposition:
“I think where I am not, therefore I am where I do not think.”

Récemment,George Elerick, un locuteur / scripteur dans le «Mouvement Eglise émergente», a posté une vidéo et blog sur auemergentvillage.comintitulé «Les chrétiensexistent? "

Elerick tente d'interpréter ce que cela signifie d'être un chrétien à la lumière de la célèbre Lacan, mais stupide, la proposition suivante:

«Je pense que là où je suis pas, donc je suis où je ne pense. "

Quel devrait être immédiatement présent à tous ceux qui liront cette proposition est qu'elle est contradictoire en soi, car il nie à la fois la possibilité de l'individu sujet à se penser (ou se re-présenter à lui-même) en affirmant un fait inexorable du Soi , ce qui parle en termes absolus et universels et se niant.

En d'autres termes, si Lacan a raison au sujet de la nature de l'individu auto / ego, alors qu'il est à la fois tort. Et s'il se trompe, dont il est, alors pourquoi s'embêter avec l'homme plus?

David nous dit dans le Psaume 14:1:

«L'insensé a dit en son cœur: Il n'ya point de Dieu."

Bien que je comprenne l'athée qui s'accroche à cette sorte d'auto-référentielle absurde non-sens dans une tentative pour ainsi dire, se cacher parmi les branches enchevêtrées des arbres de lit-crit la théorie, le scientisme, le postmodernisme ou tout autre Lumières

Ideal-Driven ordre du jour, je ne comprends pas comment quelqu'un quiveutprétendre être un chrétien peut tout coeur acquiescer à de telles sottises.

Sur une note positive

Je suis toujours à l'écriture surblog.carm.org. Mes deux derniers articles sont un peu connectée à ce sujet. Dans la première (posté le 25 de ce mois), je m'adresseL'homme Bogey connu sous le nom «dilemme Euthyphron,"alors que dans la seconde, je sarcastiquement féliciter la contribution du mouvement de l'église émergente à la théologie réformée et de l'apologétique, ainsi que la vérité absolue et universelle . Le blog second était très amusant à écrire car il m'a donné l'occasion de se déconstruire la déconstruction. Il est intitulé«Comprendre correctement le Mouvement Eglise émergente»et a été posté sur le 26 de ce mois.

Je reviens vendredi avec un contenu substantiel ...

Recently,George Elerick, a speaker/writer in the “Emergent Church Movement,” posted a video and blog over atemergentvillage.comtitled “Do Christians exist?“

Elerick attempts to interpret what it means to be a Christian in light of Lacan’s famous, but asinine, proposition:

“I think where I am not, therefore I am where I do not think.”

What should be immediately present to everyone who reads the proposition is that it is self-contradictory, for it at once denies the possibility of the individual subject to think itself (or re-present itself to itself) by affirming an inexorable fact about the Self, thereby speaking in absolute and universal terms and negating itself.

In other words, if Lacan is right about the nature of the individual self/ego, then he is simultaneously wrong. And if he is wrong, which he is, then why bother with the man anymore?

David tells us in Psalm 14:1:

“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”

While I understand the atheist who latches on to this sort of self-referentially absurd nonsense in an attempt to, as it were, hide himself among the tangled branches of the trees of lit-crit-theory, scientism, postmodernism or any other Enlightenment-Ideal-Driven agenda, I don’t understand how someone whowantsto claim to be a Christian can wholeheartedly acquiesce to such silliness.

On a Positive Note

I’m still writing over atblog.carm.org. My last two articles are somewhat connected to this topic. In the first (posted on the 25th of this month), I addressThe Bogey Man known as “Euthyphro’s Dilemma,”while in the second I sarcastically commend the emergent church movement’s contribution to Reformed theology and apologetics, as well as absolute and universal Truth. The second blog post was very fun to write as it gave me an opportunity to deconstruct deconstruction itself. It is titled“Properly Understanding the Emergent Church Movement”and was posted on the 26th of this month.
