When I was a farmer, a Farmer's Boy,  I used to keep my master's HORSES, With a G EE - WO here, and a G EE - WO there,  And here a G EE , and there a G EE ,  And everywhere a G EE ; My pretty lass, will you come to the banks of the Aire oh?

Says I,

When I was a farmer, a Farmer's Boy,

 I used to keep my master's LAMBS,

With a B AA - BAA here, and a B AA - BAA there,

 And here a B AA , and there a B AA ,

 And everywhere a B AA ;

With a G EE - WO here, and a G EE - WO there,

 And here a G EE , and there a G EE ,

 And everywhere a G EE ;
