It is their portion forever throughout their generations. 7:37 This is thelaw of the burnt offering, of the meal offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecration, and of the sacrifice of peace offerings; 7:38 which Yahweh commandedMoses in Mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their offeringsto Yahweh, in the wilderness of Sinai.8:1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 8:2 "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket ofunleavened bread; 8:3 and assemble all the congregation at the door of the Tent of Meeting."8:4 Moses did as Yahweh commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door ofthe Tent of Meeting. 8:5 Moses said to the congregation, "This is the thing which Yahweh hascommanded to be done." 8:6 Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.8:7 He put the coat on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him,and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him, and fastened it to him with it. 8:8 Heplaced the breastplate on him; and in the breastplate he put the Urim and the Thummim. 8:9 Heset the turban on his head; and on the turban, in front, he set the golden plate, the holy crown; asYahweh commanded Moses. 8:10 Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle andall that was in it, and sanctified them. 8:11 He sprinkled it on the altar seven times, and anointedthe altar and all its vessels, and the basin and its base, to sanctify them. 8:12 He poured some ofthe anointing oil on Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him. 8:13 Moses brought Aaron'ssons, and clothed them with coats, and tied sashes on them, and put headbands on them; asYahweh commanded Moses.8:14 He brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head ofthe bull of the sin offering. 8:15 He killed it; and Moses took the blood, and put it around on thehorns of the altar with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of thealtar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it. 8:16 He took all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat; and Moses burned it on the altar. 8:17But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; asYahweh commanded Moses. 8:18 He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aaron and hissons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 8:19 He killed it; and Moses sprinkled the bloodaround on the altar. 8:20 He cut the ram into its pieces; and Moses burned the head, and thepieces, and the fat. 8:21 He washed the innards and the legs with water; and Moses burned thewhole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire
to Yahweh; as Yahweh commanded Moses. 8:22 He presented the other ram, the ram ofconsecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 8:23 He killed it;and Moses took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb ofhis right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot. 8:24 He brought Aaron's sons; and Moses putsome of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on thegreat toe of their right foot; and Moses sprinkled the blood around on the altar. 8:25 He took the fat,and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the twokidneys, and their fat, and the right thigh; 8:26 and out of the basket of unleavened bread, that wasbefore Yahweh, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, andplaced them on the fat, and on the right thigh. 8:27 He put all these in Aaron's hands and in hissons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before Yahweh. 8:28 Moses took them from theirhands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering. They were a consecration for apleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to Yahweh. 8:29 Moses took the breast, andwaved it for a wave offering before Yahweh. It was Moses' portion of the ram of consecration, asYahweh commanded Moses. 8:30 Moses took some of the anointing oil, and some of the bloodwhich was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, and on his sons, and on hissons' garments with him, and sanctified Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and his sons'garments with him.8:31 Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, andthere eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying, 'Aaronand his sons shall eat it.' 8:32 What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire.8:33 You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting seven days, until the days of yourconsecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days. 8:34 What has been done thisday, so Yahweh has commanded to do, to make atonement for you. 8:35 You shall stay at thedoor of the Tent of Meeting day and night seven days, and keep Yahweh's command, that youdon't die: for so I am commanded." 8:36 Aaron and his sons did all the things which Yahwehcommanded by Moses.9:1 It happened on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;9:2 and he said to Aaron, "Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burntoffering, without blemish, and offer them before Yahweh. 9:3 You shall speak to the children ofIsrael, saying, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, withoutblemish, for a burnt offering; 9:4 and a bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice beforeYahweh; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today Yahweh appears to you.'"9:5 They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting: and all the congregationdrew near and stood before Yahweh. 9:6 Moses said, "This is the thing which Yahwehcommanded that you should do: and the glory of Yahweh shall appear to you." 9:7 Moses said toAaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and makeatonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and makeatonement for them; as Yahweh commanded."9:8 So Aaron drew near to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.9:9 The sons of Aaron presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put iton the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar: 9:10 but the fat, and thekidneys, and the cover from the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar; as Yahwehcommanded Moses. 9:11 The flesh and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp. 9:12 Hekilled the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons delivered the blood to him, and he sprinkled it aroundon the altar. 9:13 They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and heburned them upon the altar. 9:14 He washed the innards and the legs, and burned them on theburnt offering on the altar. 9:15 He presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sinoffering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first. 9:16 Hepresented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance. 9:17 He presented the mealoffering, and filled his hand from there, and burned it upon the altar, besides the burnt offering ofthe morning. 9:18 He also killed the bull and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings, which wasfor the people: and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he sprinkled around on the
altar, 9:19 and the fat of the bull and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covers the innards, andthe kidneys, and the cover of the liver: 9:20 and they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnedthe fat on the altar: 9:21 and the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering beforeYahweh, as Moses commanded. 9:22 Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessedthem; and he came down from offering the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and the peaceofferings.9:23 Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: andthe glory of Yahweh appeared to all the people. 9:24 There came forth fire from before Yahweh, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar: and when all the people saw it, theyshouted, and fell on their faces.10:1 Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incenseon it, and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which he had not commanded them. 10:2 And firecame forth from before Yahweh, and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.10:3 Then Moses said to Aaron, "This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying,'I will show myself holy to those who come near me,and before all the people I will be glorified.'"Aaron held his peace. 10:4 Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle ofAaron, and said to them, "Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of thecamp." 10:5 So they drew near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses hadsaid.10:6 Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, "Don't let the hair of yourheads go loose, neither tear your clothes; that you don't die, and that he not be angry with all thecongregation: but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yahwehhas kindled. 10:7 You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for theanointing oil of Yahweh is on you." They did according to the word of Moses.10:8 Yahweh spoke to Aaron, saying, 10:9 "Drink no wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons withyou, when you go into the Tent of Meeting, that you don't die: it shall be a statute foreverthroughout your generations: 10:10 and that you are to make a distinction between the holy andthe common, and between the unclean and the clean; 10:11 and that you are to teach the childrenof Israel all the statutes which Yahweh has spoken to them by Moses."10:12 Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, "Take themeal offering that remains of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and eat it without yeast besidethe altar; for it is most holy; 10:13 and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons' portion, of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire: for so I am commanded. 10:14 Thewaved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and yourdaughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons' portion, out of the sacrificesof the peace offerings of the children of Israel. 10:15 The heaved thigh and the waved breast theyshall bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before Yahweh:and it shall be yours, and your sons' with you, as a portion forever; as Yahweh has commanded."10:16 Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned: andhe was angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying, 10:17 "Whyhaven't you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, seeing it is most holy, and he hasgiven it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?10:18 Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary: you certainly shouldhave eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded."10:19 Aaron spoke to Moses, "Behold, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burntoffering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me: and if I had eaten the
sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in the sight of Yahweh?"10:20 When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.11:1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them, 11:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on theearth. 11:3 Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.11:4 "'Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part thehoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn't have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.11:5 The coney, because he chews the cud but doesn't have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.11:6 The hare, because she chews the cud but doesn't part the hoof, she is unclean to you. 11:7The pig, because he has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn't chew the cud, he isunclean to you. 11:8 Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; theyare unclean to you.11:9 "'These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters,in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat. 11:10 All that don't have fins and scales in theseas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in thewaters, they are an abomination to you, 11:11 and you detest them. You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses. 11:12 Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that isan abomination to you.11:13 "'These you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination:the eagle, and the vulture, and the black vulture, 11:14 and the red kite, any kind of black kite, 11:15any kind of raven, 11:16 the horned owl, the screech owl, and the gull, any kind of hawk, 11:17 thelittle owl, the cormorant, the great owl, 11:18 the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey, 11:19 thestork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.11:20 "'All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you. 11:21 Yet you may eatthese: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have legs above their feet, withwhich to hop on the earth. 11:22 Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper. 11:23 But all winged creeping things which havefour feet, are an abomination to you.11:24 "'By these you will become unclean: whoever touches the carcass of them shall be uncleanuntil the evening. 11:25 Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and beunclean until the evening.11:26 "'Every animal which parts the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor chews the cud, is uncleanto you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean. 11:27 Whatever goes on its paws, amongall animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall beunclean until the evening. 11:28 He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and beunclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.11:29 "'These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on theearth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard, 11:30 the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the walllizard, the skink, and the chameleon. 11:31 These are they which are unclean to you among allthat creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening. 11:32On whatever any of them falls when they are dead, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel ofwood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must beput into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean. 11:33 Every earthenvessel, into which any of them falls, all that is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break it. 11:34All food which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink that maybe drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean. 11:35 Everything whereupon part of their carcassfalls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are
unclean, and shall be unclean to you. 11:36 Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is agathered shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean. 11:37 If part of theircarcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean. 11:38 But if water is put on theseed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.11:39 "'If any animal, of which you may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass shall be unclean untilthe evening. 11:40 He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until theevening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until theevening.11:41 "'Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten. 11:42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even allcreeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination. 11:43You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall youmake yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby. 11:44 For I am Yahwehyour God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defileyourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth. 11:45 For I am Yahweh whobrought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.11:46 "'This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in thewaters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth, 11:47 to make a distinction between theunclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing thatmay not be eaten.'"12:1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 12:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'If a womanconceives, and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of hermonthly period she shall be unclean. 12:3 In the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall becircumcised. 12:4 She shall continue in the blood of purification thirty-three days. She shall nottouch any holy thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are completed.12:5 But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her period; andshe shall continue in the blood of purification sixty-six days.12:6 "'When the days of her purification are completed, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bringto the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a youngpigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering: 12:7 and he shall offer it before Yahweh, and makeatonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood."'This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female. 12:8 If she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt offering, and theother for a sin offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.'"13:1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 13:2 "When a man shall have a rising in hisbody's skin, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his body the plague ofleprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons, the priests: 13:3 andthe priest shall examine the plague in the skin of the body: and if the hair in the plague has turnedwhite, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the body's skin, it is the plague ofleprosy; and the priest shall examine him, and pronounce him unclean. 13:4 If the bright spot iswhite in the skin of his body, and its appearance isn't deeper than the skin, and its hair hasn'tturned white, then the priest shall isolate the infected person for seven days. 13:5 The priest shallexamine him on the seventh day, and, behold, if in his eyes the plague is arrested, and theplague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall isolate him for seven more days. 13:6 Thepriest shall examine him again on the seventh day; and behold, if the plague has faded, and theplague hasn't spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. He shallwash his clothes, and be clean. 13:7 But if the scab spreads on the skin, after he has shownhimself to the priest for his cleansing, he shall show himself to the priest again. 13:8 The priestshall examine him; and behold, if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shallpronounce him unclean.
