Buying on YouScribe

We strive to make your buying experience on YouScribe as simple and pleasant as possible. However, if you

have any questions, please see the headings below.



What is I buy?

The publications for sale on YouScribe are accessible by streaming and/or download.



What is streaming?

By buying a publication available in streaming, you can read it online by logging in

to your YouScribe account.



What is downloading?

By buying a document available for download, you can store a copy of the file

on your personal computer. To read it, you just have to open it…

Note that some documents are accessible for both streaming and downloading.

For each document, the

access mode is clearly stated above the price.

In the case of downloading, the available file formats are also specified.



What format should I choose?



PDF:

To read a PDF file, you must have downloaded and installed the free software

Adobe Reader

on your

computer.



ePub:

ePub is a format specially designed for reading ebooks. Its main asset is that it adjusts the text of

the publication to the size of your screen, which is particularly convenient for reading on a

smartphone.

To read an ePub file on your PC, you must have downloaded and installed the free software

Adobe Digital Edition.

Some downloadable documents are protected by a technical device called "

DRM

".

When this is the case, the indication"DRM" is clearly mentioned next to the file format.

Note:

When the file is not protected by DRM locks, another device to combat illegal copying may be used, i.e.

watermarking

. In this

case, the pages of the publication bought are "tattooed" at the time of purchase with personal information regarding the buyer

(for example the email address associated with their account).



What is DRM?

DRM is a protection system for digital works, which limits the number of devices (computers, tablets,

smartphones) on which you can copy and read the purchased file to six (6).



How do you read a file protected by DRM?

To read a file protected by DRM, the software Adobe Digital Editions must be installed on your

computer and you must have an Adobe ID account.

Tip: Before you buy, make sure that the access conditions for the document you are interested

(possibility of downloading, file format, presence or not of DRM) matches your expectations. YouScribe

will not perform any exchange or refund.



How do I pay?

On YouScribe, all purchases can be paid for by

The transactions that you make on the

website are completely secure.

Depending on your place of residence and the amount of your purchase, other payment methods may be

available to you. When these options are accessible, they appear directly in the payment method choice

window.

SMS+

Your order will be charged to you directly by your mobile service provider.

Copy the keyword which appears on the screen and send it by SMS to the number indicated.

You will receive an access code to your mobile phone.

Enter this code in the YouScribe window to access the publication.

Audiotel

Your order will be charged to you directly by your telephone service provider.

Select your country of residence.

Call the number that is displayed.

A voice server will give you an access code.

Enter this code in the YouScribe window to access the publication.

Mobile

billing

Your order will be charged to you directly by your mobile service provider.

Enter your mobile phone number and the name of your operator.

You will receive an SMS with an online link to your mobile phone.

Follow the link and confirm your payment.

You will be given an access code.

Enter this code in the YouScribe window to access the publication.

Internet+

Your order will be charged to you directly by your Internet service provider.

After selecting your Internet service provider, click "Confirm".

You will have immediate access to your publication.

Why is the purchase price sometimes different depending on the payment method chosen?

The invoiced amount may actually vary depending on the payment method you choose. This amount is

specified opposite each payment method on the choice of payment method screen. The difference

between your order amount corresponds to the cost of Telecom operators and/or of Internet service

providers.



I have paid for my purchase. What happens now?

Once your order is final, your digital publications are automatically transferred to your personal library, in

your personal area. This allows you to find them more easily, to access them at any time and for as long as

you want.

By default, your purchases are classified in the section "My purchases" in your library. Click on the

publication that you want to view: depending on the conditions specified at the time of purchase, then you

can read it online and/or download it.

If you are unsure as to the choice of a file format (for downloading) or if you have problems reading your files, you

will probably find the solution by seeing the FAQ headings Finding and reading documents or Buying.



How can I access the history and the details of my orders?

This page summarises all of your orders, from the most recent

to the oldest. You have access to the reference number and the total amount of your order, as well as to

the list of items purchased.

To access more details, click on "see the details of this order". You'll be directed to a new page containing

all the information relating to your order:
