Introduc tion T his Document written will help improve some of the shortcomings of the R anger J opix S S -3900-E U 11metre band Multi-mode transceiver, especially for use in UK and E U states where narrow fm is used more wildly. S ingle C rystal A ll modes R oofing F ilter to help res olve QR M\Noise F loor F M C lipper corrected waveform and helps improve aud io punch on narrow 2.00khz F M (F actory stock)-Up to 2.50khz for optimised users F M receiver demodulator AF gain recovery increased for Narrow F M C B system E T S I E urope F m R eceiver audio quieting improved, less background hiss. LT 455G W -9.0K hz filter 455khz to widen F M bandwidth on receiver side. NOT E :L os s of 10dB los s of adjac ent rejec tion w ill b e notic ed at expens iv e of w ider filter. Overall F requency stability of J opix S S 3900 set improved using hard\high temperature wax and T A7310 Mixer upgraded chip to original T oshiba device. Improved frequency drift and improved thermal prope rties to frequency critical parts. Improved S S B C arrier balance les than 1mW att Improved grounding of the P C B and screws Improved DC regulator and DC ripple capacitors.
