The system has been tested with Internet Explorer 5.x and higher and Firefox 1.x. It should work fine with any compatible browser on any operating system. If you have a popup blocker installed on your computer, you may have to deactivate it, if requested from our site, in order to have the system work correctly. All you need for your entries is internet access, a web browser and the Acrobat Reader to display the reports. The system has been tested with Internet Explorer 5.x and higher and Firefox 1.x. To start the system, go to the following URL: http://www.swimrankings.net/entries.php Here you click on the name of the competition you want to enter. You need a username and a password to enter the system. This information were sent to your federation by email. Please be aware, that the username and password are case sensitive. Overview

You have to proceed the following three steps to make your entries: * Athletes:First you have to search and sign on all athletes you want to enter for the event. Athletes for relays have to signed on as well. * Entries:In a second step, you go through all events and select the athletes for each event. * Relaysand Report: On the last page you select the relays where you want to make an entry and you printthe entry confirmation report. All these steps are described in detail on the following pages. You can interrupt your work at any time and login to the system again later. All your entries are saved on the server. After the entry deadline, the access to the system will be closed and the entries are exported to Swiss Timingfor the process of setting up the entry list and start list.

Athletes First you sign on all your athletes for the meet.

To add an athlete you first have to run a search on the database. To do this, type the first letters of thelast namein the search field and press <Enter>. Then all the available athletes will be loaded into the windows on the left hand side. Only athletes with results from 1st of January 2004 are in the ranking database and the best result higher than 600 FINA points is displayed for selection. Next select the athlete on the left hand side and press "Sign on" to add him/her to the list on the right hand side. If you add a wrong athlete, select him/her again on the right hand side and press the "Sign off" button. If an athlete is missing from the database, enter his first name, last name, birthdate and sex in the box on the right hand side and press "Add". Please be aware, that for athletes entered like this, all entry times will be "No time", because the database does not contain any results for these athletes. To remove a newly added athlete, click on the name in the list and press the "Sign off" button. Do not use special characters like ä, é for the name fields when you add an athlete. The last name will always be displayed in uppercase letters automatically, even though it is written with lower case letters. If the first name, last name or birthdate of an athlete is wrong, please send a note by email to [e-mail] it will be corrected. Don't forget to sign on all your athletes, also the swimmers which only participate in relays. When you are done, press on "Next page" to go the "Entries" page.

Entries On the entries page you select the athletes for the different events.

Use the gender and the stroke selection boxes to navigate between the different events. You will always see the events of one gender / stroke combination on one page. Please be aware, that you probably have to scroll down on the page in the freestyle events. For each event, select the athletes you want to enter. To leave an entry empty / remove an entry, select the item " No Selection " from the list. When you have finished making your entries, press the "Refresh" button. Then the system loads the qualification time for all entries from the rankings database. Only results within the time period, according to LEN rules are used as qualification times. If you think, the system didn't set the correct entry time, please check the rankings data on http://www.swimrankings.net. You have to be aware, that only results, that were provided by the federations for the rankings are available as qualification times. When you are done, press "Next page" to go to the Relays & Reports page. If you forgot to sign on an athlete press "Previous page" to go back to the athletes page. Entries already done will be kept in the system. If you“sign off” an athlete with entries, all his entries will be deleted.

Relays & Reports

On the last page you select the relay entries and print the confirmation report.

Select the relay events, if you want to enter a relay team. Once you are done press "Report" to print the confirmation report. The PDF document is shown in a popup window. If your popup blocker doesn't allow to open a new window, use the "Show report" link, to display the report. In case of you make any changes, you will bee able to create a new report at any time. Once you are done, print your final report, sign it and fax a copy to the organizing committee and to the LEN Office.
