The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium. Norbet Platt

The Beginning, Middle and End Eric Bloombaum The Beginning Here we go Commence. The spring. Water gushes freely from it. The bud. It opens, finally free. The outset. Troy falls; Ulysses is free, but for what? The creation. Yaweh survey his world; freedom. The beginning. Let there be light.Hello life. The veil lifts. The Middle Go. Continue. The river. Water rushes past. The flower. Open, as the days fly past.

The journey. Ulyssesmen all pass away. The life. Thriving ages pass Mother earth. The Middle. Continous activity. Hello living. The golden clock shines down. The End This is it. Cease. The delta. Water slows and rejoins the ocean. The wilting flower. It falls, rejoining its Mother. The return. Ulysses rejoins his kin. The apocalypse. Stars become stardust, rejoining to reform. The End. The Reaper comes for what is his. Hello Death. The scythe falls.

Salt In Our Wounds Lynn Lindell Falling into the dark caverns of chaos, Shir breaks. Escaping suspicious light, she finds solace and comfort from where the fires of rage erupted. Attempts to fly with the broken wings fail miserably and Shirs stuck in the heart of misery combined with the venomous negativity. Desperate, she crawls and begs for forgiveness. Words of sorrow and regret reveal themselves surprisingly, shes not denied. Instead, shes held in arms of acceptance and understanding. Shir turns around and gazes back at the suspicious light she ran from. The light watches her and flickers when she passes smiles at the night. Shir can almost see the true face of the light, and if she had, the face would have been contorted into an expression of confused hurt. But, adjusting her eyes with the night, it promises her extravagant gifts. Promises of acceptance and comfort are intriguing and Shir almost falls into it completely, but she hears the faint and flickering light. Every flicker was like a secret unfolding itself. Slowly, she leaves the comfort of the moons haven, slowly she lets go of the curling darkness. Shirs eyes, of pure silver stare deep into the dangerous stars with sadness and confusion. She turns back to the face the light no longer flickering. Instead it beams a bright ray of warm light; its way of smiling. The embrace of Shir and the flickering Ore was warm and comfortable, but Shir thought it was empty. Looking into the light with questionable thoughts, Ore flickered softly, it can see her pain. It cast its light on the broken wings; they were bloody and bruised. Twitching now and then with sharp pain, Shir whimpered. She wasnt strong if she couldnt fly. Eyes filled with hope, she looked into Ore, but it couldnt help. It instead faded, and soon the dullness formed shadows on her porcelain face now in a stony silence. In tears, she hides her shame; hiding her broken wings, hiding her heart. Shir desired that understanding, desiring the immortal love and the death of separation. Dreams of Khoshekh were invading violently. But again, the light flickered for her. She was thrown in the path of confusion once again; her wings aching to fly independently. She suffers. Crawling far away into a forest, leaving the Ore and Khoshekh; this was her haven of secrets. Dreams in the form of sparkles on the leaves of the ancient trees, memories trickled in the streams, and desires took the form of fireflies. Shir found a lush spot of softness, and cutting her heart out she laid it in front of her. Observing the marks and scars of the past handlings of her life, she stares intently trying to peel back the meat, trying to discover. She asks what it wants but all it does is beat. The heart has no response so Shir places his back in the center of her being and barricades it with thorns. Exhausted, she lays down, carefully allowing herself to float into a world unknown. A dream of Khoshekhthen left Shir with no care in the world. But itss embrace formed. It happiness is so great without her and she sees it. She sadly watched it leave her, but she was glad. That was what she wanted for Khoshekh, so turning away she finds the light not too far off. It flickers softly, speaking the truth to her. It knows, but the light hurts too; the flickers show and are too frequent. Shir floats to Ore, and their embrace is an extraordinary moment for they embrace with both sadness and happiness, and now they both understand. Shir, shyly looks into Oreherself into the light she cries, because shes white eyes and hugging it tightly, pressing finally understood and received what she had looked for.

The days slip away. The words are left unsaid. There isnt enough time in a day, You cant say all that needs to be. The words are left unsaid. The words that could change everything. You cant say what needs to be. The hours run too fast. The words that could change everything, That you havent had time to say, The hours that run too fast, Are finally slowing down. The nights slip away. Those words are no longer unsaid. Time has stopped and things have changed. But what cant stay goes away.
Ode to a Puddle Courtney Graham a cloudy visage reflected back the unclear image shows what I lack in the glassy surface Uninterruptedserves its purpose calling my name, hold! Corrupted by the breeze cold-from the depths of Solitude a glimpse of sky shrouded in clay birds fly disappear, day bre -aks dusk fa-lls all recorded in the backwards blue of the ground images of yellow boots stomp the surface jello waves lap jagged edges BIG umbrella striped, opens to the heavens rivulets run down stolen moments in Time days past forever gone haunted Memories shrouded in fog the dreary gong tolls.
what I would give to see the smiles naivety smothered by Time is there something to loss of control? sneaking behind thoughts on the edge blurred by memory something I should know? No my mind falters cause and effect racing thought gathers does the earthsky feel? No Finally a deep breath close my eyes backwards step take the plunge SPLASH! the droplets rain back down to earth the mud groans in Pain tinkling with Mirth I cry aloud the visage destroyed as I glance behind molten earth not skys bind shows its worth. the dream broken a tear falls; the mud soaked toes tokens Souvenirs of the life I left behind.
