Slow recovery of the tourist accommodation sector in 2010 Tourism in Europe: first results for 2010  Following two years of negative growth, theIntra-annual data show that the recovery improved European tourist accommodation sector startedthroughout the year. In the period January to April to recover in the year 2010, with nights spent at %2010, the number of nights spent went up by 1.7 hotels and similar establishments increasing bycompared with the same period in 2009, while 2.8 % compared with 2009. The increase at were recorded for and 5.1 %growth rates of 2.6 % overall EU level was reflected in the nationalthe periods May-August and September-December figures, with increases in all but five of therespectively. This decrease was slightly stronger revival in the number of nights spent by more pronounced for domestic trips (-1.1 %) than non-residents (+5.1 %) compared with residents for outbound trips (-0.7 %).
