With this figure, the growth in the course of the first six months of 1994 was 2.2% higher when compared to the first half of 1993. A comparison with the most important economic partners shows how the Union economy development roughly mirrors that of the United States. By contrast, Japan still seems to find itself in a phase of uncertainty.
