1.3 Samples

Submit a sample measuring [ 6 x 6 in. ]

[150 x 150 mm.] showing the finish on both sides

as well as two finished edges.

Submit a representative sample of each piece of

hardware, including brackets, fasteners, and trim.

1.4 Shop Drawings

Submit shop drawings in accordance with

Section 01340.

The drawings must clearly indicate details, plans,

1.5 Maintenance Data

Provide instructions for the proper maintenance of

plastic laminate which must be incorporated in the

maintenance and user’s manual.

1.6 Protection

Protect finished laminated plastic surfaces during

shipment and installation with the use of heavy

kraft paper or by placing them in cardboard boxes.

1.7 Guarantee

.1

Provide a written guarantee, signed and issued in

the name of the owner stating that the laminated

plastic work is guaranteed against warping and

delamination for a period of one [1] year. The

door hardware is guaranteed against all defects in

workmanship for a period of two [2] years from

the date of signing the Certificate of Reception of

the work. The heavy-duty door latch is guaranteed

for life (it will be replaced free of charge with

2.1 Materials

European-style toilet partitions, floor mounted

overhead braced, EURO by EAD, distributed by

Sani-tech, Inc. [phone].

Plastic laminate: in conformity with

CAN3-A172-M79, category GP, of [1.6 mm.]

[1/16 in.] thickness and solid color or a pattern on

both surfaces, with a regular finish, color of the

architect’s choice from the manufacturer’s standard

selection.

Particle board panels [25mm.] [1 in.] with a density

of [720 kg/m3] [45 lb/ft3], a hardness of [2225 N]

[500 lbs.],

Decorative border in extruded PVC of [3 mm.]

[1/8 in.] in solid color or wood grain, color of the

architect’s choice from the manufacturer’s standard

selection. Permanently glued to the edge of the

panel with thermo-hardening adhesive.

2.2 Satin-Finish Stainless Steel Hardware

Hinges for standard toilet compartments (3 hinges

per door), in heavy-duty 16-gauge stainless steel

type 304, finish #4, inward opening, invisible

from the outside. Mechanism in teflon. Model with

emergency access by lifting the door. EAD Product

200-010 or 200-011.

Full-length piano hinges for handicapped-access

toilet compartments. In heavy-duty 16-gauge

stainless steel type 304, finish #4, outward opening,

invisible from outside. Model with emergency

access by lifting the door. EAD Product 211-010 or

211-011.

Door latch for standard and handicapped

compartments in heavy-duty 11-gauge stainless

steel type 304, finish #4. Door latch with a handle

that can be grabbed with the hand equipped with

two intregated damping devices. EAD Products

#200-101, guaranteed for life.

2.3 Fabrication

Fabricate doors, supports, and partitions of

plastic laminate panels, [25mm.] [1 in.] thick

to the sizes indicated. Each of these elements

will have a finished contour in PVC and will

be mounted [100 mm.] [4 in.] from the floor.

The doors and panels will be [1828 mm.] [72 in.] in

height and will be mounted [100 mm.] [4 in.] from

the floor to provide maximum privacy. The only

points of contact with the floor will be the stainless

steel footings.

Part 3:Installation

3.1 Partition braces

.1

With the aid of adjustable stainless steel supports,

with adjustable

fix the partitions to the floor perpendicular and

3.2 Cleaning

At the completion of the installation, remove all

of the protective elements, clean finished surfaces

so that they are free of blemishes or spots.
