Professional certification is a common practice in alltypes of
industries worldwide. It signifies an individual’s knowledge
and expertise to employers, peers and clients. It alsohelps in
defining and maintaining industry standards.
This
guide
offers
a
high-level
information
about
HR
Certifications available in the market. It is intended to help
HR professionals to find out about certifications in specific
fields. Some of the certifications are country-specificand may
not be related to the Saudi market, however I included them
just for information.
All the certifications mentioned in this guide require some
sort of assessment to be obtained, hence, mere attendance
of a training course is not enough to get certified.

The SHRM-SCP is for individuals who work in jobs that are strategic in nature and involve activities such as developing policies and strategies, overseeing the execution of HR operations, analyzing performance metrics, and contributing to the alignment of HR
strategies with organizational goals.
SHRM Certified ProfessionalSHRM-CP
The SHRM-CP is for individuals who work in jobs that are operational in nature and involve activities such as implementing policies, serving as an HR point person in their organization or with organizations they support, and performing day-to-day HR functions.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a professional human resources membership association headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. SHRM promotes the role of HR as a profession and provides education, certification, and networking to its members, while lobbying Congress on issues pertinent to labor management.

The Award qualification provides you the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills of one specific professional area within HR.
The Certificate qualification is a medium sized qualification. At this level, it provides a firm introduction and understanding of HR or L&D in a wider business context.
The Diploma qualifications are the largest size qualification. It enables you to develop your skills of HR and L&D through undertaking more units and through widening your breadth of HR and L&D knowledge further.
All CIPD Certifications Types have Three Levels

Foundationlevel qualifications provide an excellent introduction to HR and L&D. As well as providing a recognized professional qualification, they help you to acquire a wide range of relevant, practical skills that you can apply in the workplace.
Intermediatelevel qualifications offer you the opportunity to build your expertise in HR or L&D. Set at undergraduate level (Level 5 RQF) they will help you to develop your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of HR models.
Advancedlevel qualifications are the most widely recognized professional qualifications in the field of HR and L&D and are set at postgraduate level (Level 7 RQF). They will give you a depth of knowledge that enables you to become an HR expert.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is a professional association for human resource management professionals. It is headquartered in Wimbledon, London, England. The organization was founded in 1913 - it is the world's oldest association in its field and has over 145,000 members internationally working across private, public and voluntary sectors.
