creative capability they have with these computers for school, business or their own enjoyment.
This tutorial is a basic introduction on how to use the iMovie with digital film for a business

Editing can be done in two different panels of the screen. Clips can be edited either in the clips
panel, the Shelf, on the right hand side of the screen or clips can be dragged into the strip at the
bottom of the window, which is the Storyboard panel. While in the edit mode always select the
scissors icon of the camera/scissors option.

3) Highlight the clips that you do not want and press Delete or go to Edit and then Cut.
Edit a clip if only a small portion is wanted:
1) View the clip.
2) Find the running time sequence underneath the viewing window.
3) Determine the start and end time of a specific portion of the clip.
4) Drag the Sliders, underneath the viewing window, to cut the unwanted scenes.
5) The portion of the movie that will be deleted will be highlighted yellow.
* Any film between the two sliders, yellow highlighted portion will be deleted.
Rearranging the order in which the clips will be played can be done in either in the Shelf or the
Storyboard; however it may be easier to arrange clips in the Storyboard.
1) Highlight the clip you want and drag it where you want in the Shelf.
OR
1) Drag the clips in the order you want into the Storyboard.
Eventually, all of the wanted clips should be dragged into the Storyboard in the order that they
will be viewed. In the Storyboard, transitions, credits and other effects can be placed in the
movie. When clips are dragged from the Shelf into the Storyboard they appear side to side.
When the icon of the clock is pressed the clips are displayed in a timeline-like fashion. When the
three audio tracks underneath the clips are shown the Storyboard is in timeline fashion. The
single film strip icon, when pressed, will return the clips side to side.
The Storyboard Area
To place transitions, effects, and credits in the movie the clips can be in either the timeline or
side to side mode.
1) Make sure the clips you want are in the Storyboard
