From the home page within Mobile Messaging you can view recently sent and reviewed messages, create
messages and groups, adjust your profile, or manage your channels. Managing your channels allows you
to set preferences for both courses you teach and courses you are enrolled in.
1.
All of the courses you are currently in should be listed under your “Courses” channel. To access
these click on Channels, than click on courses. Your course channels page will look similar to this.
2.

would like your students to receive from each course.
3.
Click the down arrow in the drop down menu “Post an” and select the type of message either
Announcement or Instructor. Fill in the form and click the send button. If you select
“announcement” the message will post in the Blackboard course as though it was created from
with Blackboard and simultaneously sends to the mobile phone, and emails to students who have
opt in to receive messages. If you select “instructor message” this is similar to sending a message
from the Create Message page, but it is a simplified and faster method.
4.
To view your subscribers click on the “View Subscribers” link and to change messaging
preferences click on the “Messaging Preferences” Link.
