????Using Track Changes Feature in Microsoft Word 2003 This document is meant to be a reminder or ‘cheat sheet’ on how to use the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word 2003. The Track Changes function has its own toolbar within Word 2003. To show the Track Changes toolbar, pull down the View menu, go under Toolbars, and select Reviewing. Below is a snapshot of that toolbar: The first section of the toolbar contains the Markup Pulldown menu, which allows you to switch between four different views: Final Showing Markup: Shows the final version of the document, with changes highlighted and inserted into the document. Final: Shows the final version of the document, including changes, but changes are not highlighted or distinguished in any way. Original Showing Markup: Shows the original version of the document, along with changes, but changes are not embedded in the document. Instead, they are neatly placed in balloons on the right side of the document with lines pointing to their insertion points. Original: Shows the original document as it appeared before changes were made. The second section of the toolbar contains the Show Pulldown menu, which allows you to select which types of changes that were made to the document that you wish to be visible.
