Many of the publica­tions relate to, or result from, European Union research and technological development, under the multi-annual Framework Programme. As well as news, reviews and abstracts of European Commission publications, it covers other publications relevant to European research. An index to euroabstracts is published annually. euroabstracts is published by the European Commission's Dissemination of Scientific and Technical Knowledge Unit. The Unit operates under the INNOVATION Programme, one of the specific programmes of the Fourth Framework, providing information services on European research. In addition to euroabstracts the services of the Unit include: CORDIS —THE COMMUNITY R&D INFORMATION SERVICE. A group of databases, accessible on-line, on the WWW, and also published on CD-ROM, covering all aspects of EU research: programmes, projects, results, publications, news (including calls for proposals and calls for tender) etc. The abstracts section of euroabstracts is based on the RTD-Publications database of CORDIS. CORÛIS focus. A fortnightly newsletter published in English, French and German, providing up-to-date information on EU research, based on items extracted from the RTD-News database of CORDIS.
