Note this layout will take precedence over layout supplied in RFP-06-13, Sheet B02. Re: Appendix A & B Vendors may manipulate the furniture layouts to suit their product line. However, the overall footprint must remain constant. For example, where wider panels are used, the vendor may substitute smaller widths to achieve the overall size. Re: Appendix A Vendors may provide pricing for new systems furniture rather than refurbishing the existing Haworth workstations as shown on sheets A01, A02, A03 and A04. Note: New workstations must follow same footprint. Re: Response to Questions – RFP-06-13
Are filing cabinets shown on drawings to be repainted?
All filing cabinets shown on Appendix A are to be repainted.
Does existing Haworth set up have to be dismantled, and if so, by whom?
Existing Haworth set up will be dismantled by the vendor who has been retained to refurbish.
Is the existing Haworth in a storage area?
Haworth systems to be refurbished will be dismantled on site at City Hall. The designs were done to
accommodate the phasing of the project and each department’s move.
What is to happen with all of the extra product?
All existing product that has not been re-allocated in the new design will be inventoried by City Hall to an
offsite location to be quoted outside of this RFP.
Are all of the panels to be recovered in the Victor fabric specified?
All panels, new/like new and refurbished are to be covered in Victor Innovatex, Espalier 4503, Colour Khaki
7136 fabric as specified.
Are all of the work surfaces to be repaired or relaminated?
Existing work surfaces to be refurbished are not to be re-laminated, but are to be repaired as required. All
existing work surfaces to in inventory may need minor repair but are in good condition and will not need to be
replaced.
Do all existing work surfaces have grommets?
Allow for one grommet per work surface for all new/like new and refurbished. Not all existing work surfaces
currently have grommets. Site verify existing grommets.
Do all existing overheads have task lights?
All overhead storage, new/like new and refurbished to include task lighting. Not all existing overheads have
task lights currently. Site verify.
Are all of the existing keyboard trays in good working order?
All existing keyboard trays in inventory are in good working order.
What power is to be included in each work station?
All workstations are to include two duplex receptacles, one data outlet and one voice outlet. For electrical
connections to the building source, please see attached Electrical Plan.
Are the power poles to be top feed or base feed?
Power poles are shown on Appendix A & B on tower floors only and are to be top feed.

Is there a standard on task seating and guest seating?
There is no standard, proponents to make recommendations on task and guest seating.
How many stations are there?
Please see the AutoCAD file for new/like new and refurbished workstation count.

What is the product line of the existing Haworth furniture?
Existing Haworth line is Unigroup with 4” raceway.
What process are you looking for to refurbish?
Process for filing to refurbish is electrostatic.
Are new work surfaces to match existing?
Yes, new/like new work surfaces and trim are to match existing.
In Appendix B03 there are two clusters of two stations between the Planning and Engineering departments.
Which departments to these work stations belong to?
Please refer to the AutoCAD file of Appendix A & B for the department separation.
What type of glazing is required for the panels?
Please provide clear glazing.
