Ben Pakulski is an IFBB professionalbodybuilder. He competes at the highest level and has placed in the Mr. Olympia competition, considered the highest-!‐level contest in the sport. Hes also one of the most sought-!‐after trainers in the fitness industry. He is known for his methodical, scientific approach to training, which gets the best results in record time.
Bens first program was called MI40Mass intentions 40. As the name implies, the number “40” was prominent in the program. He believed, for example, that 40 seconds was the optimum time for a complete set. Time under tension is a well-!‐known training principle he believes in utilizing.
Pakulski also specializes in teaching trainees how to make subtle changes in the way they train in order to maximize the contraction of the muscles. Youd have to watch one of his videos in order to completely appreciate it, but several have noticed how slight adjustments can make and exercise feel completely different (and cause a new level of soreness in some cases).
Mass Intentions Extreme 2.0, released in June of 2014, was the next logical step to his training series. This program has many advantages over its predecessor. It has a lot more downloadable content. It is also a more complete program, lasting 18 full weeks if you follow it exactly as prescribed. There are options for beginner, intermediate, and advanced trainees, so this means you could actually start at the beginner level and follow up with the other more advanced levels once you are finished. Youd get about a years worth of training if you did it this way.
One of the highlights of MI40X is the downloadable video content. There is a complete video library available where you can download and watch how Ben trains someone. This is both informative and motivational, and the videos are very high quality. I think most will find this content to be extremely helpful in making their workouts more effective.
One of the main concepts in this program is Cellular Expansion Protocol (C.E.P). CEP is based on fact that guys who are bigger and stronger are different at the cellular level as far as their muscles go. Muscle cells are unique in that they “borrow” additional nuclei from satellite cells when they are exposed to specific kinds of stress and training stimuli. This concept is explained in quite some detail as part of the programthere are ten videos you can download and get a complete seminar on this subject. Ben and a PhD discuss it at length and it is truly a breakthrough in the science of hypertrophy.
