Bessana und Moussena : zwei lang verwechselte Bandwurmdrogen.
Der Autor vertreibt die dauernd anhaltende Verwechslung dieser zwei Pflanzen der äthiopischen Pharmakopoe : Moussena ist Aïbizzia anthelminthica welches in den französischen Pharmakopöen von 1866 und 1884 eingeschrieben war ; Bessena ist Croton macrostachys Hochst. Deswegen formuliert er einige allgemeine ethnobotanische Bemerkun gen.
Bessana and Moussena : two tenicide drugs long confused.
The author dispels the confusion which continues to prevail concerning the naming of these two plants from the Ethiopian Pharmacopaeia : Moussena is Albizzia anthelminthica ; it was found in the French Pharmacopaeia from 1866 and 1884 ; Bessana is Croton macrostachys Hochst. In addition, the author puts forth some general observations concerning ethnobotanica.
