Am Ende des 19Jhs war der Gebrauch tierischer Milch Ursache einer sehr hohen Säuglingssterblichkeit. C. Michel, ein Spitallaboratoriumsleiter, bestimmte mittels wissenschaftlicher Methoden, die ausgeglichene Kinderration zwischen der Geburt und zwei Jahren. J. Eury, sein Internatskollege, war der Erste, in Frankreich, welcher auf industriellem Weg, homogene sterilisierte Milch herstellte.
The contribution of two former pharmacy interns to the progress of artificial infant nursing formula.
At the end of the 19th century, the developing use of animal milk caused a highly elevated infant mortality rate. C. Michel, chief of a hospital laboratory, determined by scientific methods the balanced proportional needs of a child from birth to the age of two. J. Eury, his former co-intern, was the first person in France to industrially manufacture sterilized homogenized milk.
