Viet Nam. She carried out her master thesis during my stay in Viet Nam and
provided assistance in order to acquire official documents. Within the good
laboratory assistance, excellent work has been carried out by Antje & Beate
Bierschenk (Phosphorus Dynamics) and Anneli Strobel (Organic Acids). The
Research Group Crystallography allowed me to do X-ray diffraction of some
synthesised phosphorus specimens at the Department of Geosciences (University
of Bremen). The Terra Mare (Wilhelmshaven, University of Oldenburg) provided
the usage of their laboratories for the preparation of some samples. The
technicians of the ZMT helped with their analytic skills and manpower, particularly
during the first month of the thesis.
I thank the staff of the Department of Botany and Ecology (Saigon) and the
ZMT (Bremen) for the nice working atmosphere, including special thanks to Gaby
Boehme, Ursula Mendoza, Antje Baum, Dorothee Dasbach, Matthias Birkicht,

Every involved person can not be acknowledged namely but I remember their

Remark: One should wear adequate clothes within the whole Can Gio
Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, because cobras appear also directly at the low
elevated fringe sites as impressively recognized during the field work.
