WHAT ARE CAMPAIGNS USED FOR?
You can create unlimited marketing
campaigns within your one GetResponse
account. Think of each campaign as a
container to keep all related marketing
materials and their respective
subscribers in one place.
EACH CAMPAIGN CAN...
Capture and store it's own subscriber lists.
Maintain it's own series of follow-up messages.
Send and store it's own broadcast messages.
Have it's own custom settings including
sender identity.
Gather statistics including sales results,
deliverability and click tracking.
THE USER INTERFACE
Begin by logging in to your account in the upper right-hand corner
of the GetResponse home page. After login, you will arrive at the
Control Panel screen,which will give you instant access to key
features and drop-down menus for specific campaigns.
The Toolbar is always visible
at the top of each screen and
all functions are quickly visible
and accessible. The HELP
menu, with access to the
User's Guide, Tutorials, and
Customer Support (featuring
both toll free telephone and

Begin bylogging into your account in the upper righthand corner of the GetResponse home page. After login, you will arrive at the Control Panelscreen,which will give you instant access to key features and dropdown menus for specific campaigns.

CREATE A NEW CAMPAIGN We will start by creating a new campaign to store and manage our followup messages.

Choose aCAMPAIGN NAMEu or special characters. This will "trigger" address, ending in @g
Enter theNAMEandEMAIL A who this campaign's messages to be coming from.
Enter aTITLEand briefDESCRIPTIONof this campaign (these will be shown on your unsubscribepage).
ClickCREATE A NEW CAMPAIGN..
The next screen will confirm that your new CAMPAIGN IS READY FOR USE
This campaign can now capture subscribers to it's list simply by having them email it's address!

PERSONALIZE YOUR CONFIRMATION MESSAGE Immediately afteranynew campaign is After requesting to join your list,each subscriber created, GetResponse will display areceives a confirmation email, to verify that they warning that you have not yet personalized intended to join. it'sCONFIRMATION MESSAGE.

Each campaign can have it's own confirmation, which you select from several preformatted templates, and then add a personal note.

Edit Confirmation Messageis number 6 down the page. Choose aSubject lineandBody tempatefrom thedropdown lists.

To change a campaign's settings at any time, first click Manage Campaigns on the Control Panel. Then click the Campaign Settings button to the right of the list title.

CREATE A NEW FOLLOWUP MESSAGE Now that our campaign is in place, and a subscribers list has been automatically established to hold emails, we will create a new followup message to be included with this campaign.
To start the Autoresponder Wizard, click Setup My Autoresponderon the Control Panel and then select whichCampaignyou would like to add the followup message to.

ClickCreate new messages.
On the message template screen click I will create a plain text message then click
TheMessage Editorwill start, and allow you to begin designing your email.

Enter aSubjectline.
For theIntervalenter how many days after the subscriber's initial signup date will pass before this message is delivered.
This is the first followup in this campaign, so we'll leave it at 0 for immediate delivery after signup.
We're now ready to enter the contents of our message. GetResponse allows you to send messages inPlain Textas well asHTMLformat, and evenBOTH formats simultaneously for maximum compatibility.
Enter your message'sPlain Textversion either by typing it, or copy and paste from another document. ClickWrap Long Linesbelow the editor window to have your paragraphs optimized for text mode.

Now that a Plain Text version is in place, we can add an HTML enhanced version into the same message, which will allow us to add special formatting and also track statistics and sales from this message.

Once the text is in place, check theuse HTML & plaintext dual formatbox at the top, then clickHTML Bodyand the editor will load.
Clickconvert the existing Plain Text message to HTMLto have your text appear.
We can now addspecial formattingto our text such asfonts, styles, justification and color.The editor helps add otherHTML contentsuch aslinks, tables, lists, pictures and more.
Preview your message by clicking theMessage Previewbutton. You can see both the Plain TextandHTMLversions at any timewithout the need to first save the changes!
Make your subscribers feel as though each Communication is coming directly from you by adding Personalization Fields to your messages.
STEP ONE:Click theAdd to see the available list.

ClickSpell Checkto check for typos.
ClickSpam CheckandSpamAssassinwill test and rate your message to see if it's contents are likely to be blocked as junk mail.
CheckTrack clickthroughsto see how often links contained within this message are clicked by your subscribers.
CheckTrack salesto monitor transactions on your web site that take place after subscribers have arrived from this message's links.
When you're satisfied with your message, proceed to thenext step,and GetResponse willconfirmthat younew autoresponder is ready to go.

ClickSave As Draftto store a working copy of s message.You can reopen it later to make changes before publishing

ADDING MORE FOLLOWUP MESSAGES TO A CAMPAIGN To add more followup messages to this campaign.

Go toCampaignson the toolbar and chooseSetup Autoresponder.
Select whichCampaignyou would like to add the followup message to.
Then clickCreate new messages.
PRELOADING (COPYING) EXISTING MESSAGES Existing messages can be copied from other marketing campaigns. For example you may have aNew Productsemail that applies to several campaigns. Go toCampaignson the toolbar and choosePreload. 1 The wizard makes copying messages a breeze. Theleft side displays the sourceaccount/campaign, and theright side displays the destination.

On theleft side,begin by selecting whichCampaigncontains the existing message.
Choose whether it'sMessage Typeis currently stored asfollowupsorbroadcasts.

Locate and check the message(s) to preload.

On theright side,select theCampaignyou are adding this message to.
Then choose whatMessage Typeto save as.
Click the centercopy >button to preload the message(s).
Where this is a followup message we are preloading, we can enter theDayon which the message should arrive.
Don't forget to clickSave Settingsto confirm the changes.
VIEWING YOUR CAMPAIGN AND MESSAGES
You can now view your campaigns and make adjustments either by:

ClickingCampaignson the main Toolbar.
ClickingManage Campaignson the Control Panel.
All of your campaign titles will be visible, and by clicking+you can expand each title to view the individualfollowupandbroadcastmessages they contain. Beside each message title you can clickEditto make changes and access your saved drafts.

IN PART TWO OF THE JUMP START TUTORIAL... Learn briefly the different ways subscribers can be added to your lists. We'll use the capture subscribers wizard to generate a signup form for our web site. Then add the form's HTML Code to our web page. Then preview and test the form. Afterwards, we will send a new broadcast message using the wizard. And select subscribers to instantly send the new message to.
