Description
Abstract This article is the publication of the rescue excavations carried out at Sainte- Pallaye (Yonne) from 1956 onwards. These excavations were to reveal the existence of structures previously unknown in the region, including a trapezoidal house built with wooden posts, a log floor, and pits filled with large rubefied pebbles. The chronological relationship between these structures is examined. The ceramic and lithic material, which belongs to the Augv-Sainte-Pallaye group (the last phase of the Villeneuve-Saint-Germain group) is studied by excavation units.
