The curious life of Renou, Pharmacist from Anjou, and what we learn from it concerning Parmentier. Joseph-Etienne Renou (1740-1809) who was alternately a military apothecary, physician, surgeon, director of mines, agricultural developer, and professor of natural history, was also and most importantly the friend of Parmentier with whom he exchanged correspondance. Partially published in 1862, this correspondance has since disappeared. It provided interesting information on the biography, the character, and the material concerns of Parmentier.
Aus dem sonderbaren Leben des Apothekers Renou, aus der Provinz Anjou, und was man daraus über Parmentier erfährt. Joseph-Etienne Renou (1740-1809), wechselweise Militärapotheker, Arzt, Chirurg, Bergwerksdirektor, landwirtschaftlicher Betriebsleiter, Professor für Naturgeschichte, war auch noch und vornehmlich der Freund Parmentiers mit dem er korrespondierte. Der Briefwechsel wurde teilweise 1862 veröffentlicht und verschwand seitdem. Er gibt interessante Auskunfte über die Biographie, den Charakter und die leiblichen Interesse Parmentiers.
