Introduction PROXALYOC 10 mg, oral lyophilisate Box of 30 (CIP: 343 619-8) PROXALYOC 20 mg, oral lyophilisate Box of 10 (CIP: 343 620-6) Posted on Jun 06 2011 Active substance (DCI) piroxicam RHUMATOLOGIE – RESTRICTION D’INDICATION AINS de seconde intention dans la polyarthrite rhumatoïde, la spondylarthrite ankylosante et l’arthrose symptomatique de la hanche et du genouPas d’intérêt clinique démontré dans les autres types d’arthrose Les indications de l’AMM du piroxicam ont été restreintes au traitement symptomatique de l’arthrose, de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde et de la spondylarthrite ankylosante.Lorsqu’un AINS est indiqué, le piroxicam ne doit être choisi qu’en seconde intention en raison de son risque d’effets indésirables gastro-intestinaux et cutanés graves.Le piroxicam n’a d’intérêt clinique qu’en tant qu’AINS de seconde intention dans la polyarthrite rhumatoïde, la spondylarthrite ankylosante et l’arthrose symptomatique de la hanche et du genou. Cet intérêt est modéré par voie orale et faible par voies IV et rectale.
