Présentation VICTRELIS 200 mg, gélule B/336 - Code CIP : 4194679 Mis en ligne le 14 déc. 2011 Substance active (DCI) bocéprévir Progrès thérapeutique modéré chez les adultes prétraités et mineur chez les adultes non prétraités dans l’hépatite C chronique de génotype 1 VICTRELIS, en association au peginterféron alfa/ribavirine, a l’AMM dans l’hépatite C chronique de génotype 1, chez l’adulte ayant une maladie hépatique compensée, non préalablement traités ou en échec à un précédent traitement.L’adjonction du bocéprévir au peginterféron/ribavirine s’est traduite par une augmentation du pourcentage de réponse virologique soutenue (charge virale indétectable à la 24e semaine suivant l’arrêt du traitement), augmentation notable chez les patients naïfs, mais plus importante chez les adultes en échec à un traitement antérieur.L’anémie est accrue de façon significative avec l’ajout du bocéprévir à l’association peginterféron alfa/ribavirine. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT

    1.1. Active ingredient boceprevir   1.2. Background This product is a hepatitis C genotype 1 NS3/4A protease inhibitor.   1.3. Indication “VICTRELIS is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) genotype 1 infection, in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin, in adult patients with compensated liver disease who are previously untreated or who have failed previous therapy (see sections 4.4 and 5.1 of SPC).”   1.4. Dosage "Treatment with VICTRELIS should be initiated and monitored by a physician experienced in the management of chronic hepatitis C.   Dosage VICTRELIS must be administered in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin. The Summary of Product Characteristics of peginterferon alfa and ribavirin (PR) must be consulted prior to initiation of therapy with VICTRELIS. The recommended dosage of VICTRELIS is 800 mg administered orally three times daily (TID) with food (a meal or light snack). The maximum daily dose of VICTRELIS is 2,400 mg. Administration without food could be associated with a net loss of efficacy due to sub-optimal exposure.     Patients without cirrhosis who are previously untreated or who have failed previous therapy  The following dosing recommendations differ for some subgroups from the dosing studied in the Phase 3 trials (see section 5.1).
