Introduction The Blowdown-code verification tasks of the LOBI-installation demand as detailed as possible a knowledge of the hydraulic behaviour of the loop-installation with all its components. Some initial measurements to evaluate the flow resistance behaviour of the LOBI installation were made previously (Ref. 1 and 2). As a result of these first investigations some details in the reactor-pressure vessel model were modified, in order to reduce uncontrolled core by-pass flows, and the non-return valve flaps in the accumulator injection lines were removed. However, the resolution of these preliminary measurements was inadequate for the relatively low flow resistance of some of the parts of the loop.
