Description
Anthropology, pathology and dental treatments in the XVIII™ century . Abstract. — The skeleton of an Abbot who has lived during the XVIIIth century, has been excavated from the church of Saint-Martin-des-Champs (CNAM, Pans, France). The presence of a gold ligature which links together three mandibular teeth, permitted a detailed anthropological and dental study. It shows several bony and dental non-metric variants which are rare. It has a high stature. In addition, general and dental pathologies have been observed. This skeleton is important because archaeological evidences of dental treatment are rare.
