One of the main themes of the European Foundation's Ι98Ι-Ι98Π
rolling programme was the question of the extent to which
technological development, particularly in the fields of
electronics and microelectronics, affects working and private
life. Within this framework, the European Foundation in its
1982 work programme studied the question of 'The Impact of
Télétravail on Living and Working Conditions'.
The present report provides an initial survey of the problem
on the basis of selected case studies from countries of the
European Community; reference is also made to experience
in other countries, such as Norway, Sweden and the U.S.A.
Attention is drawn to the evaluation reports of the Employers,
Trade Union and Government groups, prepared on the occasion
of a colloquium held on 30 November I983. These reports
indicate the political context within which the problem occurs EVALUATION REPORTS EUROPEAN FOUNDATION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS
