Description
The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of teaching methods on remedial work in reading. The main findings of two experimental studies, carried out among pupils from cycle 2 (first year in french primary school) suggest that some remedial tasks are more profitable when they are contrasted with those carried out during classes. They also snow that a good decoding level is required to benefit from remedial work in comprehension. Finally, while attesting remedial feasabibity for specific skills, our results should be interpreted in the context of the didactic efficience of breaking down of the reading act.
