#1

Sex is the most significant aspect of our lives. It is the source of a great deal of pain and pleasure, comfort and discomfort, happiness and unhappiness, ecstasies and agonies. It is what each of us truly longs for: to love and to be loved.

#2

Sex is a powerful force, and we cannot contain it. We can only learn to channel it in the most intelligent and uplifting ways. Love and sex are not in a satisfactory state for most people. Sex does not deeply fulfill us, and it does not have the power to take us beyond the pressures or limitations of our day-to-day life.

#3

To find the depth of sexual satisfaction we seek, we must start bringing intelligence into our view of sex. We must look at it from a different perspective. We must consider sex beyond reproduction or immediate physical pleasure and gratification.

#4

The secret of Tantra is to retain sexual energy within the body instead of releasing it in orgasm or ejaculation. It is then re-circulated and nourishes the master glands in the body, which have a profound influence on health.

#5

We have become so addicted to time, achievements, and plans for the future that we have lost touch with the art of generating love and staying in love. We have become so focused on orgasm that we have lost our ability to love and uplift each other.

#6

The desire for an orgasm is so strong that it seems instinctive. We are subject to a host of fears, insecurities, anxieties, and tensions around orgasm and sex, and our pleasure is kept within certain definite limits of enjoyment.

#7

The outcome of forcing the sexual energy is that we have lost our capacity to discover how the genitals themselves make love. We have a fixed idea of what we want in mind, and we are unable to create higher ecstatic experiences.

#8

The sexual center is the seat of our individual psychologies and personalities. This is where our programming is shaped. Our earliest unconscious impressions surrounding sex and life are lodged here, affecting us long before we become sexually active.

#9

When the tensions of achieving orgasm are the underlying theme of lovemaking, an already bottom-weak system will cave in. The pull or corkscrew twist on the fragile sex center will automatically hook and mobilize the entire collective unconscious surrounding sex.

#10

Tantra addresses the mind and the restlessness of the psyche by re-aligning us with our essentially sexual nature. Sex is an aspect of the spirit. When we are not in a rush, or concerned about time, we become aware of the unfolding present moment, which is filled with richness.

#11

In the Western world, goals, plans, and time rule our lives. In contrast, in Tantra, lovemaking needs time and lots of it. When we give ourselves the opportunity to relax into the immediacy of the moment, we find beautifully fresh and unexpected experiences.

#12

The Tantric dimension opens up when lovers are relaxed and available to each other, and it is characterized by the interplay of opposite polarities. When men and women are joined in sexual union, the bio-energies of their bodies create an ecstatic sexual experience without doing anything.

#13

We have been conditioned to seek orgasm, which creates a static electricity-like disturbance in our bodies that obscures our sexual energy. When we make love against the polarities of the sex organs, we are unwittingly working against our own ecstatic sexual potential.

#14

There has been so little guidance on sex for centuries. We were given the appropriate paraphernalia well before the event, and that was it. We receive little or no information about this core aspect of our lives.

#15

The male body is positive, but also has an inner negative pole. The female body is negative, but also has an inner positive pole. Between these two opposing magnetic fields, a powerful magnetic field is created. This polarity effect is the highest potential of man and woman together, as a spiritual force through which it is possible to penetrate the mysteries of life.

#16

The organs of love, namely the breasts and the vagina, cannot be ready for sex until the positive pole of love is included in the picture. This means that attention should be given to a woman’s clitoris and genital area in foreplay, but it is energetically ineffective even if exciting.

#17

Making love in this way, utilizing polarity, begins the process of establishing a powerful energy field between and within two bodies. Bio-electricity flowing within this magnetic field follows a spiral path, and this explains why the movement of the famed serpent power, the kundalini energy, located at the base of the male spine, will be experienced as a forceful unfolding.

#18

The art of Tantra is the union of sex and meditation. It is simultaneously a physical and a spiritual happening where two seemingly opposite extremes are joined into one. When this happens, a magical quality arises, and we feel like we are entering a fourth dimension where the mysteriously engulfing present moment awakens.
