PROLOGUE

A red car drove from the main road into the hotel s pavement and packed in the parking lot of the hotel.
Mr. Senator, I hope that you are going to give me a bigger sum of money today. A prostitute said. She had an ebony skin and had on her a red shot gown that showed her cleavage, so well which her breast was almost popping out from, and a red high heel. She wore an over applied makeup and crossed her legs placing her handbag on her laps.
Of course Amaka. In fact, today is my happiest day. If you know what happened to me today, you yourself would be glad. If you do a very good job today then I will pay you even more. The senator said before getting down from his car and striding into the hotel with Amaka by his side.
The hotel was an eight-storey building which looked so beautiful from approach. It was among the best in Lagos.
Give me room 219. The senator said smiling. That room was his favourite.
A night is N10000.
I know. The senator said before counting N10000 from a bundle he held, giving it to the receptionist before collecting the key and entering an elevator.
After a while, they arrived at the hallway leading to their room and they strode in. the senator wore a Hausa clothe which was blue and he wore a matching blue cap. He had a potbelly and the prostitute s complexion.
They strode into their room and the senator wanted to start the business but Amaka stopped him
Oh Senator relax we need to eat first okay. If we do not eat, we will not have enough strength to go through the night. We ve got all night. Amaka said seductively when the senator began to touch her.
You are right. He then pressed a button on the wall and few minutes later a waiter came in pushing a cart filled with food.
Your meal sir the waiter said when he had entered but suddenly the girl gasped.
The senator s eye trailed down the man s white shirt to his stomach. The waiter also looked at himself; lo and behold, he was bleeding. The waiter then fell down dead.
Behind the waiter was a man who held a silenced gun and was pointing it towards them.
The girl the attempted to scream but the scream died in her throat as the killer too shot her.
The senator instantly became afraid of his dear life. In a split second, he was already on his knees.
Please. Can you relax? I...I ...I will give you double of what you were paid. Is it N10million? I will give you even N25million. Just please do not kill me. I have a wife and four children at home. Pity my family and don t kill me please.
I don t need your money and no one is even paying me to kill you.
Okay you don t need my money then take my car. Which one do you want? I can give you the Porsche, is it the Lamborghini, or is it my Range Rover Sports? Anything I will give you, just spare my life please.
I don t need anything from you. When you get to hell, tell Lucifer I said hi
Those were the last words that the man heard before thrice the killer shot him.
The killer then walked away.
CHAPTER 1

T he beautiful Margat hotel had already been flooded by the reporters in Lagos and by onlookers that morning. The Lagos Police department had tried their best in creating a nice distance between the murder scene and the people.
In the hotel, police officer were taking pictures and the medics were there carrying the dead bodies out of the room, Room 219.
The police had to remove people from the entire hotel because tampered evidence was the last thing they were looking for in the middle of an investigation.
In the room were two detectives one was in a brown suit, white shirt and brown trousers while the other was in a black suit white shirt and black trousers. They both looked young and in their thirties or so but one apparently looked older. The one that looked older went to speak with the owner of the hotel who was pretty shaken up and very scared.
So do you know any of the dead?
Yes. The Senator, Senator Musa and his regular prostitute Amaka
What of the waiter?
He s my son The man said and then finally broke down in tears
Well sorry for your loss but still this hotel is going to be shut down until we find the killer The older detective said
But my family will starve. This is our only source of income and still I owe BOI N4 million
Well that s your problem not mine. You ll tell me how a man will enter this hotel and know the exact room where the Senator entered and then kills them all
I don t know why or how someone would do so
Well how about someone who knew when someone came in and knew that someone s room
Hey you are trying to say I killed the senator, his whore and then my son
Well you could be lying about the son part, The detective said and it was already obvious to the other officers that the interrogation was turning into an accusation.
It s okay Martin, Chillax. Sir I heard that you owe BOI some money, The younger detective said as he walked in to stop the accusation from turning into a physical, emotional and psychological fight and an argument.
Yes
I would speak to my superiors that will help get the news to the government and your payment could be held on suspension till the investigation is over
Thank you, you are so kind The man said in happiness and was then led away by the officers
Well Martin why do you like pointing accusing fingers on the innocent The younger detective asked after the man had left.
What makes him innocent Charles?
Well for starters there is no evidence pointing to the owner of Margat hotel and secondly how would the man kill his own son
Charles, how sure are you that that man is not lying. What if the boy is not his son and he just said that so we would pity him. And also what if the boy really is his son then maybe he didn t know that his son would be the one to be in that room.
Let us assume that your theory actually is true, there is no evidence to prove you right. Now why don t we calm down and then see if there is any evidence around? Charles said parting Martin s back
Yah you are right. Why don t we go check the security cameras and see if we could find anything?
Charles and Martin then strode out of the room and headed towards the security room. When they got there, they both sat down and began to check through the videos. They were checking when suddenly Charles saw a video that made him freeze.
Martin, come and take a look
Martin then moved towards Charles in order to see what Charles wanted to show him.
The video showed how the security camera was moving left and right and then moved rapidly to any direction as if noticing movement. It showed a part where the waiter was pushing a cart of food and towards Room 219.
After a while, the camera moved rapidly to the right and then moved rapidly to the left before moving at its slow normal pace.
