In the summer of 2015, Jessica Jane Larson attended her first college party to kick off her senior year in high school along with her twin male friends who were her escort for the night. Little did she know that the aftermath of this party would be the highlight of her entire future to come and the start of complicated relationships with her friends and family. In hopes of destructing her "good-girl image", she succeeded big time after this particular night--she would no longer be considered "pure" in the eyes of God, or her parents. In the process of unraveling new friendships during the remainder of her senior year, she learns that everyone''s favorite twins--Jared and Jaiden Daniels--have a few secrets of their own. Now, she must choose between her childhood friends who have been in constant battle over her affection since the night of the party, where it all happened… but how will she choose when they have both been at fault before?

Mickey Rees was born in 1997 and was raised in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, where she spent most of her days writing fictional stories. She had started out small by writing screenplays in her elementary school before exploring her depth and passion as a writer. She was inspired by a user-friendly application—Wattpad, when she was introduced to the application back in 2012. In the start of middle school, Mickey began to get more involved in her community theater. Following onto her early adolescence, she had the opportunity to work with creative individuals with imaginations of their own in the theater class she took part in. There she gained the experience of a lifetime when she put forth her screenplay to the test that helped her grow as a ‘young prodigy in the making’. After four years of well-developed hard work, dedication, and strong support from her friends and family, she finally shared some of her very own beautiful stories and brought them to visual life, with Fallen Faith being her first publication.

Prologue
I
t all started five months ago, the biggest regret of Jessica Larson’s life and little did she know, it was going to haunt her forever…
(Flashback)
Jessica Jane Larson was the go-to for all things; books and being as studious as she was. A party setting was not her adequate environment, but Jessica wanted to do something outside of her comfort zone for once, desperately wanting to rid of her ‘good girl’ image. Tonight, would be the night of many firsts for Jessica Jane. One being, her first time attending a college party; the first party transitioning into Jessica’s senior year of high school. What better way to kick off the new school year during the start of summer? And for a seventeen-year-old gal of 5’2, she would be unknowingly losing her virginity at this party by the end of the night, but it still remains a mystery as to who it would be with. Her friend’s car pulled up on her driveway, honking loudly, just as she had applied the final touches of her makeup. She grabbed her wedges, jogging downstairs and stepping outside, barefoot and in a rush.
Her parents had not suspected a thing with her dad having been a few days out of town for a business retreat and her mom having been out with her colleagues that night. She had texted her mom that she would be out with friends and left it at that, she would not expect her mom to wait up—knowing she still had a trustworthy title under her name.
“Come on Jess, let’s go!” shouted one of her best guy friends, Jaiden, who happened to be the annoying driver of the night. She slid into the backseat, tucking in her shoes as he backed out of her driveway. “No hi for me?” Jaiden asked with a cheeky smirk forming creases in his face.
“Oh sorry, I was too busy hurrying up for this guy yelling at me,” she teased.
“Oh, is that so?” he remarks.
“Yeah, pretty rude guy if you ask me, ugly too!” she jokingly added in, cackling. She knew that the twins resented her when she said that because it offended them both.
“Wow clever, I don’t remember the last time I heard that one,” Jared frowned, folding his arms down in front of him.
Jaiden and Jared Daniels were her closest friends in the neighborhood where they grew up together. Dark hair, chocolate eyes, the fair olive skin tone of an Italian descendent. They were everyone’s favorite twins, what was there not to like? Although Jessica was about to find out otherwise. They were like the two protective brothers she never had, except for the fact that they were a few months younger. But they were taller and much stronger, so she considered them to be her protectors. She had two older sisters, but she could never consider them to be protective, not at all. She resented them for always picking on her when growing up, it was the fucked-up version of a sappy fairytale with her family. And well, Jessica indeed was still waiting on her Prince Charming. See, Jessica never really cared for relationships while being in a girls’ academy for most of her life, the only contact she has had with a guy was with her male friends, who lived a few houses down the street. She was almost hidden from the rest of the world, being kept from finding true love. Her academy was torturous, and this night was to relieve her from her life and maybe meet some new friends along the way.
“We’re here,” Jaiden mentioned after they finally found a parking spot that was about a five-minute walking radius from the manor. She had stepped out as the twins did the same. Jaiden’s eyes widened.
“What?” she blushed timidly.
“You look…” He was at a loss for words and Jessica could tell he was uncomfortable. “Beautiful,” said Jared.
“Hot, but that too,” Jaiden concluded.
“Well, thanks guys, you don’t think it’s too much?” she worried.
“No, not at all, now let’s go inside,” Jared directed as he and Jai led her towards the pretentious manor. The music became louder after they appeared closer to the house, and the song ‘Rack City’ by Tyga, played in the distance.
This was Jessica’s first party and although she would have hated to admit, she was intimidated. Only now would the world have known of Jessica Larson and it wasn’t until a few months later when she would live to get exactly what she wanted, to be the center of all the attention.
“I’m gonna go get us some drinks. I’ll be right back,” informed Jaiden before leaving Jess alone with Jared and a bunch of random people. In the meantime, Jared met up with a few of his other acquaintances, introducing them all. As Jessica saw the diversity among the group of people crowding her, she also couldn’t help to notice most of them seemed to look older than the twins—college students of course. While Jessica had been sent away to private school, the twins had been enrolled in public school; this was what the families thought would be best for their children.
“Hey, I’m Josh,” a tall blond fellow said, gesturing her to a handshake that she kindly obliged to.
“And I’m Zach, but they call me Hobbs,” a younger looking guy addressed, “And this is Nick, ‘the dick’,” he whispered.
“Thanks for the introduction, dish rag!” Nick pestered the young boy. Jessica instantly fell in love with his ocean blue eyes. Snapping her out of her thoughts, Jared soon pointed out that Jaiden came back with their drinks. It was then that she noticed a tall, tan-skinned gentleman conversing with Jaiden in the distance.
“Oh hey, Griffins is here!” the younger looking blond in the group announced as the two came closer towards them.
Jaiden smiled at Jess when handing Jared a plastic red cup, “Sorry, two hands only,” he teased, about to chug his cup when all of a sudden, Jessica snatched the cup and began to drink to her heart’s desire. With the burning sensation lodged down her throat, she received glances from all directions including one from her very own Jaiden. “Damn, I’ll go get you some more. Don’t let me hold you back,” he chuckled.
“And who is this kinky little firecracker?” the tan gentlemen asked while taking her available hand and softly caressing her palm. What a sweet talker he was.
“This is Jess, our new friend,” Nick spoke while wrapping his arm around the uncomfortable girl.
“And you are?” she asked trying desperately not to come off rude.
“The name’s Zach, but people refer to me as ‘Griffins’ to not mistake me for Hobbson… but if you’re in for a treat, I’ll have you address me as Papi by the end of the night,” he says.
“Uh, no thanks,” she cringed. She had taken another sip from her cup and the strong aroma of alcohol filled her lungs again. In the spur of the moment, she thought, what the hell, why not? After all, it was her first party and she needed to loosen up, what is the harm of one drink? So, she finished the remaining pint in her cup and threw it to the floor like she had seen everyone else doing. The entirety of this party was trashed, such a shame, this was a beautiful house too.
“Who wants to play spin the bottle?” a bubbly drunken blonde asked when coming up and wrapping her arms around her boyfriend, Josh.
“Hey babe, this is Jessica, she’s friends with the twins,” he introduced.
