It was first launched on Google Play exclusively for the Xperia in August 2011 but was also released for all smartphones on October of the same year. Just like the original Minecraft game, the main objective of the game is to let the player create his own virtual environment and live his own virtual reality. Interactions are done by touchscreen options and via soft keys on the Android Operating System. What makes this edition different, though, is that it does not have the survival options of the original Minecraft such as hunger, training and Redstone circuits. While it was first released with the same graphics that the first Minecraft had but after the 08.0 update, it is said that Minecraft Pocket Edition's graphics have become better, especially when it comes to shading and tinting. Chapter 1: Basic Tips
As this is not the original Minecraft, you have to expect that there are some things from the original Minecraft or Minecraft Alpha that are not included in this game and that s why you should not waste your time trying to play this game the way you played Minecraft Alpha because there really are some differences. What are those Read on to find out.
1. Crafting is done using MATTIS (Minecraft Advanced Touch Technology Interface System). This means that instead of the usual 2 x2 and 2 x 3 grids, you will be introduced to four categories that will aid you to build your own Minecraft world: Food and Armor, Tools, Blocks and Decorations. Once you tap on each category, you will be able to find a list of items that you can make from each menu. Just tap on your desired item and tap the number of times you wish to use the said item to be able to create an object.
2. There are no Poppies or Poppy Flowers present, but there are Cyan Flowers . However, you may not easily find them because they are named as Rose in the hot bar. Flowers are important in this game when it comes to Aesthetic purposes because they can help beautify your area.
3. You can easily find Red Dye that you can use to color your Roses by crafting using beetroots or smelting some Red Mushrooms . You can also use Red Dye to color wool. As you play this game, you will realize how important wool is because you will be able to use it to craft different objects and shelter and you will also be able to use it to tie some items, especially important ones such as torches that will help you spawn some objects and creatures.
4. There is no Nether present, too, but there is the Nether Reactor. By placing the Nether Reactor with Gold and Cobblestone, you will be able to take up an ample amount of space in one area. This is called the Nethertrack Fortress.
5. Don t expect the Zombie Pigment Spawn to just come at you easily-it is naturally hostile towards the player. Speaking of Zombies, you can Zombie proof your door by getting at an angle of 90 degrees in any space in your area. Once you have done this, place a door in there and make sure that it is open. Why Because zombies think differently and they will think that this door is actually closed when in fact, it s open. That s also a tip that you have to follow when it comes to your other doors. Do not leave your doors closed if you do not want zombies to come after you and destroy your home.
6. Items that are scattered around the room just spawn randomly. One tip that you have to keep in mind would be to make use of all those items and to not throw away any item-especially the reusable ones. Put them in your inventory because you never know when you might need them.
