Foreword

Football, this crazy and reckless round thing that constanty amazes us with choices it makes. Like destiny; when it chooses someone, it makes no mistakes and takes noguesses: it just points at that person and says "that's the one". The "one" is very often the player has had humble beginnings; the one who was raised among the masses in a narrow ally or a small village; the one with the swollen feet from running after his beloved football; the one who crossed the earth walking or maybe squeezed between the dozens inside a train carriage just to meet his beloved at the end of his journey.

Itpicks those who willplay with it, maneuver it, then it plays coy and goes away, but it always comes back to his feet.

There is a sacred bond between humans and that inflated ball; a thrilling connection between it and the player. That connection has become a normal occurrence in our daily lives.

Football is like a magical orb; it takes those most devoted to it on an uncertain path to greatness. If this object and the beautiful game it offers fall in love with someone, hispath is clear to glory. Mysteriously, it always seems to like choosing the poor.

This is the world of theplayers whoplaytheir first matches and enjoy an exciting game full of skills before they learn how to write. They are the sharp witted street players.
