Description

We are all born unique, our own energy making up a part of our shared universe; through education, society and the status quo, we soon become normal. We are all part of a system, one that, at times, does not work to our advantage. It''s time to open all our minds, go to sleep and listen to our dreams, learning through the night. Politics, bullies, wars, guns, famine and popups, the world needs none of that, but it does need you. This is a story about my life, my eight-year journey through a broken system, a citizen to a government who ignored me. I stopped playing and started working, only to find myself abused by my superiors. I developed epilepsy, which led to either a mental breakdown or a spiritual awakening. Life''s like a movie, write your own ending, keep believing and keep pretending, that''s what I''ve always set out to do.

About the Author
Since before he knew how to write, Nicholas has always enjoyed telling stories, his entire life, all he has ever wanted to achieve was to become a screenwriter. As the years passed, he began to realise, living the life you wish to lead is much harder than living the life you find yourself leading. After years of bullying, epilepsy and dealing with political bullshit, he decided to take his life back and in doing so, he ended up writing his first book.
Dedication
This book is dedicated to every unique individual who has taken the time to read through my journey, I am forever grateful. I only hope that by sharing my life, I can help make yours easier, this book is dedicated to you.

Mom, if anyone deserves a part in this story from beginning to end, it’s you. Thank you for always being there for me, helping me deal with my problems, even when I didn’t have the strength to deal with them myself. Had it not been for your support, this book would not have had an ending, thank you for always believing in me, especially back in 2011, when I first told someone I planned on writing this book.

Stanley
Dad, joining you on our Sunday taxi tours, driving tourists up the Rock of Gibraltar are one of my fondest memories as a child. These tours helped start my career, by inspiring me to always work alongside people from abroad, in our case tourists. You helped me begin my journey, I’m glad we can now read about it together. Thank you for always being there for me, I hope this book makes you proud.

Stacey
Thank you for watching my shows when we were little, even when you weren’t interested. Thank you for listening to my stories as we grew older, even when you weren’t interested. A special thank you for putting up with me all these years, especially taking out a loan for me when I had stayed penniless, thank you for being my sister.

Kaylie
Thank you for laughing at my dark sense of humour when we were little. Thank you for reading my stories as we grew older, I’ll never forget how for the longest time, you were the only person willing to read my screenplays. A special thank you for giving me Aiden, someone who has admired me when no one else would, thank you for being my sister.

Dear Nephew Aiden
You are the most important person in the world to me; when I was at my worst, you were born and helped me find my strength, you appreciated me for who I am. As you grow older, I realise how intelligent you are; this is how I know you’ll be able to read this whole book very soon. And I promise you, one day I’ll take you on holiday to Hollywood, it’s full of many silly creatures.

June
Mama, I know how excited you’ve been to read my book, I’m just as excited to know what you think of it. Thank you for always making sure I maintained a healthy diet, making me feel special and providing me with my first chance to visit America. We both miss Grandpa Alberto very much, I hope that with this book, I’m able to help keep his memory alive.

Arthur
Uncle, when I was trying to get my life together, when I tried returning into a working society, you gave me a chance when no one else would. Working at the pet shop helped me find my confidence again, I hope that with this book, I’m able to help you find the confidence to finish writing your own story. Grandpa Arturo and Mama Angela must be very proud of you.

Jensen
We don’t get to choose our family, but we do get to choose our friends. I’m glad I chose you, it’s been a fun ride, which only keeps on getting more interesting along the way, as exampled at the end of my story. Thank you for your friendship and knowledge, good luck with your future, I’m always rooting for you.

Germaine
Everywhere we go, no matter how far we travel the globe, we always end up beside each other. Gibraltar might be a small country, but we prove it’s a small world after all; when two people are meant to be in each other’s lives, the universe always finds a way. Thank you for always being there for me, I wish you nothing but the best with your future.

Cristina
When I was at my worst, when I wanted my journey to end, I turned to strangers, hoping to find my strength, I found you. Thank you for replying to my email when I was only but a stranger in your life, it is my honour to now be your friend. Your positivity and kindness know no boundaries, the world needs more people like you.

Bill
When we first met, I could not speak, I was not ill, I was not shy, I was simply experiencing being starstruck for the first time. Thank you for being so patient with me, teaching me how to format a screenplay and even helping me with my grammar and wording. I will always admire you, not necessarily for what you do, but rather for who you are.

Heidi
I remember travelling to London, attending a meet and greet with my favourite characters and whilst waiting in line, I met you. When we said goodbye that day, I had no idea what an important part you would play in my life. On my next visit to London, you cured me, you gave me my life back again, I am forever grateful.

Brian
When nobody would publish me, when I felt like writing was a waste of time, you gave me a chance. You allowed me to share my articles on your blog, you will always be my first publisher and a great friend. Thank you for always allowing me the chance to keep on writing.

Steve
We’ve only ever met a few times, but in my mind, I feel I have known you a lifetime. When I was six years old, I witnessed your performance on the big screen and have admired you since. Throughout my life, I’ve found my confidence through you, every time I wanted to give up on myself, I would turn on my TV, watch all your many performances and I’d remember who I hoped to be in life.

Jim
I’ve only ever had one idol my entire life, a man I have never met yet has inspired me, throughout my life. You left this world, having made it a better place, for having been here. Thank you for the lessons and continuous inspiration you provide me with, as you do with many others. Although you might be gone, your work, your characters, your messages, all continue to live on, I am forever thankful for this, without meeting you, you’ve helped change my life.

The Team at Austin Macauley
All my life, I’ve ever only wanted to achieve one main goal, to become a published author. Thank you Austin Macaulay Publishers for believing in me and giving me a chance to finally accomplish my goal.
Chapter One: Third Rock from the Sun
The universe is home to everyone, everything and every-matter, a world for all to exist, consisting of galaxies scattered throughout a vast ocean of darkness, locally known as space. Each galaxy, a country of its own, each solar system, its own state and finally every planet, one’s hometown, we have much to continue exploring. Space separates life, loopholes bring us together, it’s all a mystery, one that can never be solved but to an extent understood. We all make up the universe, energy flows through everyone and although our bodies might deteriorate, the energy within will always remain alive, for all eternity, the soul never dies.
The sun, our brightest star, located at the centre of our solar system, bringing life to all around it, luckily for us, this hot ball of plasma is visible from where we stand. If you take a sharp turn and travel 92.44 million miles away from the heat, you’ll find yourself at the
