Typically, these are over 100 times more concentrated than using a mere dried herb. These oils are magical, and from a scientific perspective, you’re taking the very life force of this plant and either ingesting it, or putting it on your body.
These are strong too, and often, you don’t need to use a lot to net the benefits from it. That’s why there are so many cautions against using these essential oils in too much of an amount.
Why use essential oils for medical purposes
So why use them medically? Well remember it was said earlier that these have a lot of great antibacterial and antifungal properties. Lots of times, these can be used to treat a wide variety of different conditions and illnesses.
They’re potent too. With some people, they just don’t get the results that they want to get from prescription medicines. Due to the natural immunity the body builds up, it’s often seen as a problem for the body to take an antibiotic. The placement
When using essential oils, you do need to know how to place these. With some of them you can only have them topically, and with others, you can ingest, or even through aromatherapy if you so desire. Essential oils have different benefits through each of these means, and we’ll talk about how to use each of these applications.
The first is topically, and that means on the skin. Because of just how powerful these can be, you should always dilute each of these with some form of a carrier oil. Carrier oils are natural oils that you can combine that will help reduce the overall strength of an essential oil. Things like olive oil or even coconut oil work wonders. It’s also great if you want to have a localized target to apply to, since it does have a very restorative property to it, and it will calm the body down.
It also is the best way if you’re using an essential oil as a disinfectant, due to the fact that this often causes them to be absorbed directly into the affected area, and you will get the benefits right away if you do this sort of thing.
Then there is through aromatherapy. This is the best one if you’re looking to get benefits through smelling these. That’s because, aromatherapy will help with the prediction and response to the stimuli that your nose seems to pick up.
Essential oils are great for aromatherapy, because often they smell great, and they do have a lot of great healing properties as well. Some can be stimulating to the body when you smell, or they can be calming and relax the body when you smell them. Being smart and not taking a ton will help with the application of this in particular, and in general help you get the best results from this whenever you do take it.
Now that you know why essential oils are used for wellness reasons, let’s discuss a few of the essential oils that can help you improve your body and life, a few cautions about them, and some of their properties.
 
Chapter 2: Clary Sage
The first one that we will discuss is clary sage. This is an oil that works parasympathetically and the main area of focus is leaves and flowers. That’s where a lot of the benefits are located. Sometimes though, other areas are used. In order to get it, you have to steam the oil out.
How is it used? Well, typically you can use it in aromatherapy for best results, especially since they do actually help with a lot of the mental afflictions people have.
This is one that is typically extracted in conventional farming, and it typically helps a lot with depression, digestive issues, and other major conditions. It can even help with headaches too since often, these tend to be quite annoying mentally, but it can be used to help with clearing the head. It can be used topically to help with lower back pain, muscle tensions, and even help with oily skin and hair. If you have whooping cough, taking this too will help with the condition.
It does have a means to naturally regulate the body and literally put everything back into balance, so if you feel like you’re mentally out of sorts, then you definitely should consider this one. It’s a great way as well to help naturally strengthen up the defenses of the bod, since it does help.
One thing that you should know too, is that it’s a sedative. So if you’re having sleep issues, or if you want to regulate the body and help to relax it, then this is for you. It helps a lot with reproductive systems, helping to make sure that your period isn’t scanty, improves your overall system wellness, and generally makes you feel good.
Finally, if you do have a throat infection, it definitely can work well with helping to get rid of that, since it does naturally do away with all of the bacteria.
This is a great one, but the main point of caution that you have to make sure that you don’t drink before taking it, and make sure that you’re not driving after doing so. It is a sedative, and it can affect the body in a negative manner. It’s also the fact that a large dosage of this tends to cause a lot of headaches in a person, so it might end up being too painful for you if you do take it because of a headache. With this though, make sure that you know what you’re doing, and take it when you feel it’s fitting for you to do so.
Clary sage is a great essential oil, and it’s one to consider if you do have various health concerns, especially if you’re looking to help do away with a few of the mental afflictions that your body might have as well.
Chapter 3: Eucalyptus
Another amazing essential oil for not just your home, but also for your body and wellness, is eucalyptus. This is another very powerful oil, but it’s a great one to use for aromatherapy. Typically, it’s the wood and leaves from the eucalyptus tree, and it is typically extracted via steam, and often cultivated organically, since it is such a powerful oil.
But, this oil is one of the best for anything related to a respiratory issue. It actually can help you clear the airways, since it’s very good at doing this. It also can be applied to skin topically if heavily diffused to help with skin tissue regrowth. It can also be used to help extract the venom from the skin if you’re bit by something bad.
But, if you have asthma and allergies, this is one of the best things since it will clear up the congestion, and help to stave off asthma attacks. It’s good for diabetes as well, since it can help with regulating this.
Eucalyptus has a cool feeling when applied, so if you do end up having a fever, you can put this on your head to help cool and deodorize the body. It’s also great to help with infections, and other illnesses and such. It can be used to help with insect bites too, and even treat malaria. It’s good to use directly on sore muscles as well, especially if they’re inflamed, since it can help to reduce the inflammation that’s present in the body.
Finally, if you have ulcers and other eruptions on the skin, applying this one directly does the body a whole lot of good. If you do add this to your soap and water to clean, it can help to disinfect the home. Even just putting it with coconut oil to rub on your chest can help with beating a cold as well. It’s a great essential oil, and it can be used in so many different ways to help not just freshen the home up, but also to help whenever you’re struggling with a cold or other forms of congestion.
As a caution though, if you are epileptic, or you have high blood pressure, you shouldn’t use this. also, children under the age of five might not want to touch this, since it’s super powerful. With that being said, remember that it is a powerful oil, so you got to make sure that you use this one with a lot of caution, since it can affect the overall state of the body if you’re not careful as well.
Eucalyptus is a great oil if you’re looking to better yourself and your body. Consider using it, and you’ll be amazed at the difference that this makes for your body, and your overall health as well.
Chapter 4: Lavender
Lavender is probably one of the best essential oils for your own personal health and wellness, but also works well for treating many conditions. Lavender smells great, and it’s typically used both topically, and through ingesting. You can use this for aromatherapy as well, and it’s go so many different benefits to it.
The biggest one, is that it can both relax the body, and help to raise the mood. For example, if you’re feeling depressed, sometimes smelling some lavender, or even just having a small drop put on your mouth, can help with the blues that you’re feeling. It also is good for anxiety, since often, it can be used to help naturally calm the body down, and to help relax you. It’s a very relaxing essential oil as you’ll soon find out, and it can help keep anxiety at bay.
With that as well, it can also help with sleep too. Sleep is something that’s often a major problem for people, since all too often, they’re restless at night. but, with lavender, you’ll end up feeling the body start to relax, and sleep will be a huge part of your life, and it’ll make things way easier for you as well.
Now, in terms of what you can do with it topically, there is a lot. Pretty much any skin infection can be treated with this, and the thing is, lavender is so gentle that you can actually put it directly onto the skin. For example, if you have an allergic reaction to something, you’ll be able to use lavender to help treat it. you also can use it for athlete’s foot, since it is a powerful microbial. Rubbing a little bit of this directly onto the skin will help to treat the infections. Even just putting a little bit of it in your ear can definitely make a huge change.
Lavender is a great one to help naturally clean the body up, and it’s a great one as well for pretty much every respiratory condition out there too. It’s super safe for the skin, so it’s one that is definitely worth considering if you’re looking to get into essential oils for your own personal enjoyment, and to help you truly get the many benefits that come from this, for yourself, and for others.
Chapter 5: Frankincense
Another essential oil that you should consider as well, is frankincense. This is an essential oil that’s from the resin of the tree, and typically it’s extracted by steam. Now this is an essential oil that you don’t hear a whole lot about, but it’s actually a good oil to help balance out the body.
