Description

"From Plight to Promise" is interest-evoking, conviction-inspiring, and a powerfully irrefutable read. It will introduce to some and enhance for others the knowledge and understanding of a fundamental culture which was designed to give meaning to reality.

That's our amazing story as a people and within our story is his story, and From Plight to Promise tells that compelling story. Acknowledging that our unique experience with its many triumphs and tragedies is still the embodiment of totality.

Because of history's profound disdain for people of color, he wanted his children to know and understand that in reality there is only one race, "the human race," which has been proven to have originated in Afrika.

He exposed his children to our amazing story to bring truth to their reality and to build character by showing and teaching them the distinctive nature of their Afrikan origin. More specifically, he wanted children of color globally to know and understand that they are so much more than what history has told them they are.

From Plight to Promise is an insightful and compelling narrative intended for all people, because it exposes the changeable and unchangeable nature of life circumstances, but it also gives the necessary wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to address those circumstances.

About the Author

Dedication
I dedicate this book to my late daughter, Meghan, who disciplined herself and allowed me to be her teacher. Meghan was truly one of the most inspirational catalysts in respect to my spiritual walk and overall growth from her sunrising to her sunsetting. Not only did she bring about a heightened level of spiritual consciousness, she also brought with her a set of circumstances that started us on an intricate and insightful journey.
A journey whereas circumstances plotted our course, but wisdom, knowledge, and understanding completed our journey. Meghan’s journey showed us that as children of a sovereign Creator, we are never victims of our circumstances. Her journey perilous, yet protected, showed us that only the brave, the wise, the relentless, and the well-tested have the means to make it through. For those reasons, among others, I honor and respect her.
I am immensely grateful that our Creator entrusted me with the task of taking care of His beloved Meghan. It has truly been a humbling undertaking, an undeserved honor, and a privilege that has given me irrefutable truth, indestructible strength, and eternal hope. Therefore, it is incumbent upon me to keep the light of truth forever shining.

Acknowledgments
To my wife and soulmate, Tribune, thank you for completing me. You are my rock, bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh. You are one of the strongest women I know. Together we have weathered some of life’s most difficult storms. We have also been favored recipients of the joys and the fulfillments that this life has to offer. I thank you for being the mother of my children and the woman of my dreams.
You have helped me to become a better husband, a better father, and a better man. You have somehow managed to make me a better version of myself. You have taught me the true meaning of love and given me balance through your compassion and caring nature. I love and treasure you more than life itself.
To my daughters, Alisha and Rachel, whom I love in a way that only a father can understand. I have had the joy of watching my little girls grow into beautiful and productive young women. You both have inspired me and given me a gift that has helped to shape my character, as well as my life. You both are, and always will be, an essential part of my intricate journey. Thank you both for allowing me to be your daddy and always know that you both hold a special place in my heart where love is unconditional.
Much love for my late parents; I can’t thank our Creator enough for them. Maryion and Carlwell Head, the proud parents of sixteen children, who, in my opinion, were the absolute best parents in the world. They were both profound teachers and students of life. I thank them for providing a firm, stable, and principled foundation. They taught us crucial concepts and vital principles from the very beginning because they understood how essential these principles would be in developing and shaping the character of their children. Their actions showed us that joy can emerge from the ashes of adversity once we realize that often our blessings come wrapped in trials. We thank you, Mom and Dad, for continuing to stand in the gap.
To my siblings, a special thanks to all of you for being an intricate part of me. Our parents always taught us that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Therefore, we learned early on to rely on one another. I love you all in a unique and unexplainable way. We have shared so much from the very beginning, which should bond us together to the very end. I wish you all indestructible strength and eternal happiness.
To my village, I render a deliberate, warm, and heartfelt thank you. Specifically, to my godparents Pat and Robert Belle, a gift from the Creator Himself—they were and are undoubtedly fundamental cornerstones of my village and have been a blessing to many. They, too, are profound teachers and students of life.
My village has been one of the most important aspects in the development of me. You are the people, the times, the places, and the experiences that have created the lifelong intimacies learned and shared along the way. You are the past, the present, and the future. Again, I thank you all for your struggle that has given me access to the necessary wisdom, knowledge, and information to know and make a difference.

Preface
Writing this book has been both challenging and adventurous for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I am not a writer and until the day of my daughter’s home-going celebration, I had no intentions of being one. However, writing this book has truly become my labor of love, which has given me a vital platform allowing me to expose the true nature of our compelling story. More specifically, it has allowed me to perceptively articulate who I am, where I’ve come from, and where I still must go.
Writing has also allowed me to willingly take the necessary risks associated with the indoctrination of an inherent ideology that I’ve internalized, taught, and avidly implemented into my children’s belief systems through an intense process of discovery and reiteration, which I can now informatively write about.
My belief system was primarily acquired and established through extensive research proving to be irrefutable and conclusive in nature. My amazing educational and inspirational journeys to our ancestral homeland were definitely the icing on my cake. Equally enhancing
