The youth exodus is real, and it is happening in churches all across America. Christians need to start training children in theology and apologetics from a young age, or they may not be around to teach their own children.

Camp Quest is a camp, summer camp, and residential program that promotes critical thinking, freethinking, and secular humanism. We cover a lot of material in our three-day weekend event: philosophy, science, history, and so on. We are definitely not afraid to ask hard questions or challenge kids to think outside their comfort zone. 3While these camps might be fun for some kids, they are dangerous for others. Camp Quest is one of the more popular camps for high schoolers and college students. 4 The goal of this camp is to prepare kids for college by giving them a solid foundation in critical thinking. Camp Quest even has an online video series called Critical Thinking Basics: What You Need to Know to Be Successful in College. The problem with this kind of camps for our kids is that it changes their mindset before adulthood. Students who go through Camp Quest are leaving camp less able to believe in a higher power and more ready to argue against it. This isn’t good for kids or this nation. It’s not good for them personally or even just as a matter of safety and societal well-being.

#17

Christianity is losing its youth because we aren’t training them in the way they should go. We need to teach our children critical thinking skills and prepare them to defend their faith, if not to others, at least to themselves.
