The Earth
and its Moon
Earth is a planet in the solar system . The solar system is a
group of planets, rocks and other debris that orbit the Sun.
Earth is the third planet from the Sun. It takes 365.25 days
for the Earth to go all the way around the Sun.
Neptune
Uranus
The Earth is a rocky planet. It is the fifth largest in
the solar system. The diameter of the Earth is about
13,000 km. A rocky Moon orbits the Earth. The
Moon is about 238,000 km from Earth.
