What is the
Solar System?
Our planet , Earth, travels around, or orbits , the Sun, once
every year. It is one of eight planets. There are also some
smaller dwarf planets , lots of ice, rocks and other debris
orbiting the Sun. Together, all this makes up the solar system.
‘Solar’ means ‘of the Sun.’
