يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تقديم حلول عملية للمشاكل التي يواجهها الطلاب عندما يريدون الكتابة عن موضوع ما، ومن المعروف أن التفاهم بين الناس يأخذ أشكالًا كثيرة منها الكتابة، والكتابة مهارة يتم اكتسابها عن طريق قراءة كتابات أناس آخرين وعن طريق الممارسة، وحتى يتمكن الإنسان من الكتابة الجيدة لا بد من توفر أمور ضرورية، وهذا الكتاب يحتوي على مواضيع عديدة لا بأس أن تقرأها جيدًا وخذ منها اللغة التي تراها جميلة، بمعنى تلك اللغة التي تساعدك في التعبير عن موضوع آخر، وهناك نصائح تتعلق بكيفية اكتساب وتنمية مهارة الكتابة إذا ما طبقت، كما يقدّم الكتاب بعض القواعد النحوية التي بدونها لا يمكن تنمية هذه المهارة، كما يقدّم الكتاب بعد كل موضوع الكلمات الأساسية التي وردت في الموضوع، ويعقب ذلك تمرين على المفردات الغاية منه إكساب الدارس القدرة على التعبير، وهناك محاولة لنطق بعض الكلمات بالعربية حتى يسهل على الدارس حفظها.

Introduction People use language to communicate with each other in different ways. One way of communication is writing , a language skill that is not easy to acquire. To communicate well through writing is not an easy job. You need a lot of permanent practice. But to be able to write well , you have to meet certain requirements. First, you should possess a reasonable amount of English vocabulary . Second , you should be familiar with the basics of the English grammar so that you can use vocabulary in making sentences that can communicate your ideas to others , thus reaching sound communication. Third , you need to read a lot ;you have to read others’ writings so as to develop your writing skill. You benefit a lot from what others have written ; you can see new ideas expressed in language you need to imitate . This book provides practical solutions to writing problems ; many students complain that they do not know how to write . They complain that they do not have clear ideas of the topic they have to write about. The other problem is being unable to produce the appropriate language that expresses ideas if they have them. The book addresses these problems providing the learner with practical ways that enable him ( her) to develop the writing skill. The point worth mentioning is the fact that the writing skill is not innate; one acquires it through diligent practice and through reading.
