Human Rights in Western Concept There are various classifications of human rights in Western thought, some of which are: 1-Weisman's Classification,who classified human rights into two kinds: i)Materialistic rights that include the right to security and the sanctity of ownership and accommodation. ii)Moral rights that include right to freedom of belief, assembly and establishing NGO’s. 2-Horio's Classification,who classified human rights into three kinds: a)Freedom of private life. b)Freedom of spiritual life. c)Freedom of establishing NGOs and syndicates. 3-Dean Dogi's classificationdistinguished between passive who freedom, which constitutes restrictions on the state for the benefit of the citizens, and positive freedom which includes the state’s services rendered to the citizens. Moreover, there are other classifications that are not far removed from these ones. These classifications can be found wanting because they are limited to the negative aspect of human rights and freedoms. They stipulate that the state should not encroach upon these freedoms but does not obligate the state to provide the right to security, education or employment etc. However, the slogans of Socialism and Communism, led some Western parties to request the state’s intervention to
