INTRODUCTION

O ne Major verse from the word of God that I cherish so much is Proverbs 4:23. The heart of a man is a clear indication and representation of who he is. A man can never be above the thoughts of his heart. No wonder the word of the lord says As he thinks in his heart so is he , Proverbs 23:7.
Your thought makes you up, you are currently the picture of your past thoughts. You can never go beyond your thought. Your spiritual and physical life is a clear reflection of your mind.
A reprobate mind is a mind that is condemned to doom and damnation, it is a mind that is abandoned to continue in the things that are naturally not comfortable or reasonable nor convenient. It is a mind that is left to carry a heavy yoke. Matthew 11:30.
A reprobate mind can do the unspeakable, the unexampled and unthinkable, it is continuously after fulfilling the desires of the flesh at an uncontrollable extent. It is not impossible to the very elect to be given over to the reprobate mind, if they choose to backslide. It is very possible to know the word of God and be ignorant of who He is. Romans 1:32.
No one is totally free from being a victim of a reprobate mind, provided you are in mortal flesh. Only the dead are free from the vices of the enemy and only they are free from the possibility of carrying the burdens of a reprobate mind.
His word says, we should constantly check to know if we are still in faith and truly saved, 2Corinh 13:5
By His grace, this book will be looking at, Reprobate minds in the Bible and Reprobate minds in the 21 st Century. God bless you as you read through Amen.
CHAPTER 1: REPROBATE MINDS IN THE SCRIPTURES

ACHAN Joshua 7
H e is an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, he coveted in his heart to take some of the items in the spoils of the falling off of the walls of Jericho for himself alone. He was possessed so much by this greed that he ended up taking accursed things for himself.
His mind was already perverted and on the road of destruction. He decided to take for himself the accursed things, one of the signs of a reprobate mind is a selfish desire at the expense of others wellbeing.
This singular action of Achan put the whole of Israel totalling of over 500,000 men into serious trouble. Their soldiers ran and fled before their enemies. They even lost 36men. Achan s selfishness did not bother about the loss that Israel had just suffered. He was only interested in his own progress.
He knew what he did was wrong, yet he chose to do it. He knew God would be annoyed yet he was not concerned of the aftermath of his actions on the Israelites. This is another constant attitude of a reprobate mind Joshua 7:20-21.
He took some items listed in the verse above and he hid them. He did not even have the effrontery to display his ill-gotten items. He was really bearing upon himself a very burdensome yoke.
Eventually he and all his possessions alongside the accursed things that he stole and all his family members were stoned to death. Including his oxen, asses, sheep, and his tent. His reprobate mind brought great peril to his family.
A reprobate mind makes one to do the things that will eventually ruin someone. I pray God will deliver us in Jesus Name. Amen.
REUBEN, THE FIRST BORN OF JACOB GEN 49:3

I n ancient times, being the first born confers on you the heritage of all your fathers property. It is a coveted privileged. You are entitled to lots of possession and inheritance from your father irrespective of the number of the younger ones behind you. The first born is entitled to half of the possessions of the father. No wonder Esau cried and cried when he lost his birth right to Jacob.
The first born is described as the might, beginning of strength, Excellency of dignity and the excellence of power. Being the first born is extremely coveted and he is dedicated to God. Reuben was given over to reprobate mind. He allowed himself to be used by the enemy. He slept with the mother of his fellow siblings. He slept with the wife of his father. Gen 35:19-22.
Jacob s most beloved wife had just died, he served for 14years to be qualified to marry Racheal. She had just died from labour complications, he was in deep and grave sorrow. He could not keep moving, he had to spread his tent beyond Edar.
Why would Reuben have a sexual intercourse with the mother of his siblings? He has been cohabiting with his siblings and even their mother, why would he allow such a thought in his heart? Why would he lay with her? Jacob was aware and he choose to be silent about it.
This is exactly what a reprobate mind can do to an individual, it make you to do shameful and unthinkable things. Imagine sharing the same bed with the mother of your step brother. I pray God will deliver us from spirit of Reprobate minds in Jesus Name. Amen.
When Jacob was about to die, he visited the actions of Reuben with a grave curse that the descendants of Rueben could not escape from. Jacob described him as unstable as water. This is a major characteristic of reprobate minds, their actions are unpredictable in the flesh. The curse placed on him by his father nullified all blessings he would have been entitled to spiritually. Gen 49vs4. Reuben would have loved another chance to be redeemed, unfortunately it was not possible. The tribe of Reuben was amongst the tribes enlisted to dish out curses in Deut. 27:13. God will deliver us from every reprobate mind in Jesus Name.
DINAH

T he only daughter of Jacob Gen 34:1. Obviously she was living amongst men, she must have felt she was living in a boy s hostel. She must have always wanted to step out, but not allowed by her brothers. She was a victim of over protection or so she thought. They were living in a strange land, yet she wanted to mingle with the ladies of the land. She wanted to interact with them, she wanted to be friends with them, she wanted to live like they do and partake in their activities.
Unfortunately, she was spotted by a prince of the land. He saw that she was clearly different from other ladies in the land. She stood out and was completely outstanding amongst other ladies who had been soiled and possibly spoilt by other men of the land.
The prince of the land was able to spot clear difference in her. He grabbed her, she had flexible, feeble and reprobate mind. She had stepped out of the boundaries of her parents, out of the protection of her brothers. She was exposed, raped and defiled.
She followed the dictates of her reprobate mind, she stepped out of her boundaries when her brothers were not around. She wanted to enjoy the spree of life outside the confines of her father. Eventually she was deflowered, she lost her pride as a woman. She was defiled by an uncircumcised man, what a reproach to Israel.
The actions and inactions of Dinah led to a violent demonstration by her brothers who annihilated the men of the land. This is what a reprobate mind does to its victim. It puts their friends and families into deep shame, confusion and regrets. I hope God will deliver us from powers of a reprobate minds in Jesus name. Amen.
ABSALOM, THE SON OF KING DAVID 2 ND SAMUEL 15:10-17

H e is the third son of King David, he was given birth to by Maicah, the daughter of Talmai, King Amen of Geshur. He was beautiful to behold like his father, all over Israel no one could be compare to him in beauty. 2Samuel 14:25.
He had very long hairs that had to be removed every year, he has the same right to the throne like Solomon who eventually became the king. He was a crown prince.
Absalom did not need chariots for procession, he was gradually staging a rebellion like a politician, sensing what the people wanted and knowing how best to give them. He started acting like a king in place of h
